This product seems stronger, tougher and more durable than previous gauges with plastic cases I bought in the past. It is definitely heavier. It also came with accuracy test results for the specific unit.Hopefully it will last longer.

Very good quality, comes with sheet that has calibration from factory, installed in my jandy cl580 filter and works great, I selected the 50psi over a 60 psi because I wanted to see a more precise psi reading.

As far as I can tell this pressure gauge is a direct replacement for my Hayward EC65A pool filter. It works just fine.

Glycerin keeps needle very steady, and with the coloured scale is super easy to read at a glance.

The GOATACURA 0-60psi/bar Start and Clean Filter Pressure Gauge, 2" Dial Size seems to be a decent pressure gauge, unfortunately it is not universal and does not work with Hayward pool filter heads, at least not the ones created in the last 10 years. I had to remove the dial part to get it to tighten, and even then it won't tighten all the way. I cannot fault the device for this, I should have paid closer attention to the size, but I never had a problem with this before and didn't.As you can see in my photos, I did get it on, but it leaks because it needs one more turn and I can't turn it because of the head size. It is at least a quarter inch larger than the one I was replacing without the dial, add another quarter to a half inch for that. I was looking forward to this because my family doesn't know when to backwash the filter, they can never remember the pressure, and I wanted an option when I am traveling. Guess it's back to the permanent marker.

Very well made, SS steel construction with a standard 1/4" NPT brass fitting ,the scale numbering and dial colors make it very easy to read. Note because of the brass fitting it needs to be wrapped with teflon tape prior to installation to avoid leakage and seizing over time .So why a liquid filled gauge versus a dry gauge... well liquid filled gauges are much more accurate, also the liquid helps lubricate the inner workings and needle of the gauge to give it a longer usage life. It is also used to reduce needle vibration so that you can get a much more accurate readingsOne thing about a liquid filled gauge is that it needs to be burped prior to installation, burping the gauge removes any air that may have built up during the storage or transportation that gets trapped inside the body of the gauge affecting its overall accuracyOn this gauge there is a small gray cap on its top, this is how they fill the gauge with liquid at the factory. You need to pop this cap off which will release any internal air pressure, then recap it. You might hear some air escaping or see a little bit of fluid but this is normal when burping. Onced burped you are good to install. If you close your pool every year the gauge should be burped again at startupThe only negative I have is that the gauge dial should have some negative PSI readings , even if only 5 PSI in the negative so that you know when to burp your gauge in order to calibrate it back to zeroExcellent gauge, I highly recommend

This gauge is made from good heavy duty materials. A good replacement for an old non-functioning one.I like to keep an extra gauge on hand for a back up for my pool pump...in case one develops a leak and needs a quick replacement.
