Main Functions
1. Voltage Regulation: Maintains the generator's output voltage at a set value, typically within the ±1% range.
2. Automatic Adjustment: Automatically adjust the generator's excitation current based on load changes to stabilize the output voltage.
3. Voltage Protection: Provides overvoltage and undervoltage protection to prevent the output voltage from being too high or too low.
4. Load Response: Quickly responds to load changes, ensuring instantaneous voltage stability.
5. Frequency Detection: Monitors the generator's frequency to ensure operation at the rated frequency.
6. Temperature Protection: Features temperature compensation to prevent the AVR from overheating.
IMPORTANT:
After installing the new voltage regulator, you must determine if the frequency is correct. Set "mechanical governors" to 62Hz at no load. "Electronic governors" set to 60Hz at no load. After you determine the hertz are correct, measure the AC output. The voltage should be 124VAC at 62Hz with no load or 120VAC at 60Hz with no load. If the voltage is either high or low, adjust the brass screw on the blue trim potentiometer next to the red LED light to the correct voltage accordingly.
