My chickens and ducks love these treats. We use them in their usual veggie/crumble mix so they get a little extra protein. My rooster loves to be hand fed these.

This “Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae” is better for the chickens than mealworms. It looks exactly the same as mealworms to me. And you get more of it for your money. Additionally, it was on-sale. What’s not to like. Oh, and most importantly, my chickens love this stuff.

My sister rescues old laying hens that other people no longer want. They serve as the bug brigade on her organic veggie farm. Winters in Oregon are long, and there are no bugs for the ladies to eat, so I buy them these treats. They're on autoship. Chickens are highly intelligent and underestimated by those who have not met chickens. Find someone with chickens, bring them this treat, and get to know them for the incredible creatures they are.
