Product Description The DRV8825 stepper motor driver carrier is a breakout board for the DRV8825 micro-stepping bipolar stepper motor driver. The pinout and interface of this module are nearly identical to our A4988 stepper motor driver board, so it can be used as a higher-performance drop-in replacement for those boards in many applications. The DRV8825 features adjustable current limit, over-current and over-temperature protection, and six micro-step resolutions. It operates at a voltage range of 8.2-45 V and can deliver approximately 1.5 A per phase without a heatsink or forced airflow (each coil is rated up to 2.2 A with sufficient additional cooling). Features Simple Control Interface:Offers a straightforward step and direction control interface. Multiple Step Resolutions:Provides six different step resolutions, including full-step, half-step. Adjustable Current Control:Allows you to set the maximum current output using a potentiometer, enabling operation at voltages higher than the stepper motor's rated voltage for higher step rates. High-Voltage Tolerance:Withstands a maximum power supply voltage of 45 V. Built-in Regulator:Comes with a built-in voltage regulator, eliminating the need for an external logic voltage supply. Wide Compatibility:Can interface directly with both 3.3 V and 5 V systems. Protection Mechanisms:Features over-temperature thermal shutdown, over-current shutdown, and under-voltage lockout, as well as short-to-ground and short-circuit protection. Enhanced Heat Dissipation:Utilizes a 4-layer, 2-ounce copper PCB for improved heat dissipation. Exposed Ground Pad:Has an exposed solderable ground pad under the driver IC on the bottom of the PCB.
