I recently received this "12 Pcs Rug Gripper for Hardwood Floors, Tile, Cement & More - Thin Corner Carpet Pad That is Removable - Glueless Nano Gel Triangle Shaped Carpet Tape & Floor Tape for Area Rugs" and the hallway runner FINALLY stays where it should! These anti-slip rug grippers are great if you have "traditional" rugs with no rubber backing. They're pre-cut into corner shapes, making them ridiculously easy to place, and one side of them is very sticky/tacky (this is the "floor" side and should adhere to the floor's surface). When/If you decide to replace the rug with another, these grips can be rinsed clean and reused with the replacement rug - you just have to rinse off the "sticky" side and it will magically refresh itself, ready to hold down your next floor covering. I've used "nano tape" for wall hangings that behaved similarly, so it wasn't a completely foreign concept when I read about it, but I'd never seen it for rugs and I'm loving it.I initially planned using these on the patio rug because I saw that they listed "cement" as an appropriate place for use, but the texture of the rug is very "jute-like," and I was afraid it wouldn't stick well enough since the manufacturer advises against using these grips on "fluff, jute or rubber." For now though, I'm loving that my pup no longer catches the end of the hallway runner and pulls the whole thing into the living room when we play "fetch" inside the house. (No, I don't know how she manages that - she gets very excited when she's chasing a toy though, haha!)This 12-pack of rug grips was priced at $16.99 when I placed my order, and given how much I've spent on rug pads and double-sided tape over the years, the fact that these are reusable makes them a bargain - an investment, even - one that I'm happy to recommend to others.

I am using them on my deck outside to hold an area rug in place and they are not adhering well

I’ve tried several different kinds, and these actually work! Many I’ve tried just peel right off or don’t hold the rug past a couple days. These are great.

You get enough of these to do more than the 4 corners of one carpet. I actually used the extra ones to help keep a board from slipping and sliding on the top of a wire rack I placed it on. They worked great for that job. The board has not budged. Color me impressed! These are super easy to install. Make sure you put the floor side down and carpet side on carpet (it’s all well labeled). The actual sticky piece is nice and large, so it covers a good amount of the corner. These feel thick and of good quality. I really like these sticky carpet pads.

So, I got these to use for my dog’s bed. He doesn’t actually sleep on it, but he uses it as a springboard to get onto my bed and as a landing pad when jumping down. The landing pad part is really important for his safety. I have tried many similar products and they just don’t stick to the material. Not for long anyway. It’s been a week and that’s longer than any others have solidly worked for and this is definitely solid. There is no slipping or sliding or moving even when I step in it. They look very similar to other things that I’ve tried. But the actually function as intended. They are perfectly sized to fit the corners or rugs, dog beds, mats, probably anything you want to stay in place that has squared off corners. Definitely worth the price in my opinion. I will buying more of these to use on his other little mats and the doormat and bathroom rug… many things I could and will use these for.

I don't give 5 stars for most products until after I've at least used them for a month or so.Right now, this product is providing me with the grip I need for my rugs in my bathroom since they're on a slick surface.I will come back at a later time to confirm if the grippers continue to do their job after washing and reusing.

Some variables regarding these carpet strips, I have medium ply, 100% wool (sturdy, heavy, and thick) rugs in my house. I tried the corners on my ceramic tile (smooth) on a runner rug; the strips stuck to the floor well and came up with NO sticky residue (I have had this happen in the past and it was a nightmare to get up with other products). The sticky corners did come loose on the rug so I would have to maneuver in place, but overall, a good and safe product to use for a much cheaper price and more effective than rug pads. I am nervous to use on hardwood, so I have not tried yet.

RECOMMENDATION:Thumbs up: Fits a definite need. Our kitchen mats now stay putTHE GOOD:1. This is a neat product that fills a definite need.2. Fairly easy to install – see below.3. Can be repositioned but you will need to clean the pads and the area of the floor that they will stick to for the new location.4. It does not really raise the height of the rug/mat it is attached to – see pictures.5. Keep in mind that you will need to do a decent job cleaning the rug/mat and floor where the pads will go so that the adhesive on the mat side will adhere, and the jelly on the floor side will also stick. Amazing how dirty that stuff can get – we used a wet rag and then a lint roller (we have dogs) afterwards and that worked well.THE BAD:1. It can be a little difficult to get the protective cover off of the adhesive side that connects the pads to the rug/mat (vs the floor). You have to peel it off by hand with no tab to help you, which can be a pain.
