Installation tips:
1. Please check the old valve before disassembly. Make sure you know the location of the white "H | C" indicator (top or bottom). Put it in the same place.
2. Please install in strict accordance with the 1222 cartridge installation instructions, especially before installing the black patch, be sure to lubricate it with grease to prevent the patch from cracking.
Warning:
Always turn off the water supply before removing an existing faucet or removing a valve.
Turn on the faucet handle and release the water pressure, making sure to turn off the water completely.

Perfect Fit. I had to use the removal tool to extract the old cartridge. You might consider purchasing on. The are inexpensive.

I lubed up the part and installed it part way. It became stuck. I had to literally jerk it out because the rubber on the sides flexed into the holes used for water and I effectively destroyed the device when I removed it. It was made poorly, the rubber was not the correct size. I have replaced several in my life, this one was a piece of junk.

Smear a little lithuim grease in the Cartridge receptacle and install - works GREAT! Very happy with the product. Did the R&R myself.

Only lasted one month after installation then it started leaking.(Update)Company reached out to me to have the issue resolved. I was given the option of a refund or replacement. I have received the replacement and everything is working good so far.

There are cheap versions of this cartridge that just aren't worth the bother. This is a very nice compromise. I applied a little of the food safe grease that is included, slid the cartridge in the housing, replaced the control pieces, and I was in business (5 minutes). The control is very smooth but tight.

The product works to regulate hot/cold for single handle showers, but because the inner pieces are plastic you will hear an annoying squealing sound at some temperatures. Save yourself the headache and buy the Moen product for a bit extra. They last and are quiet.

Great replacement for Moen cartridges. It came with silicone grease and new secure pin. Can't beat the price for two which is less than home depot for one, not with grease and pin. I recommend.
