Update. I also left what happened to show how the company handled it.I used it 4x total thus far and it broke. Looks like it is glued together. The company contacted me, and replaced the faulty product, and the difference in viewing is night and day.

This is the first time I got myself a telescope, I am very impressed with this monocular! It is lightweight and well-made. When I used it, the other birdwatcher thought it is for military use and quite impressed with the quality. The bonus is it came with the mini tripod and the attachment for cell phone to take pictures. Overall, it is a good purchase.

This is a nice quality monocular telescope. Think of it like binoculars, but slightly larger and for only one eye. It comes with a tripod that allows you to set it up for stability, but it is so small you'll want to use it on a table or other flat surface. It also comes with a smart phone attachment, that should allow you to connect your phone and take good pictures or videos. I had some trouble getting it to connect properly to get good, clear images, but I ended up taking at least 1 for an example in this review. It has an impressive effective "zoom" considering the size. It's great for use in the day time, since there will be plenty of light for it. Not so good for stars, but you can use it to look at the moon in its partial phases. It's very easy to focus, and has a minimum focus distance of about 8-10 feet. It has a very crisp view in daylight. I'm happy with the quality, and I'll bring it with me when I go places. 5 stars!

Liked: Optics & tethered cover on objective lensOkay: Tripod & mounting - careful when phone attached!Needs work:Eyepiece cover is NOT tethered, Just waiting to get lost since it takes many operations to useCarrying strap is WIERD - has very cheap plastic thread to go into tripod hole (WILL BREAK!)Case too SMALL! Barely holds optics but doesn't close. No room for other parts.

I was so excited to get this item because I’m an amateur bird photographer. On my second use the camera attached wouldn’t dislodge from the viewfinder and has broken off. I have still not been able to separate the two. I’m in Jamaica and it’s too expensive to return the item. I’ll call it a loss and cherish the two shots I was able to get.
