I wasn't sure how well this would work for me. It works great, original radio battery charges, and the 2 new batteries are just a bonus!

Fast shipping correct fitment. These batteries replace the OEM and the charger is a good product. Best value for the money.

The batteries fit my YAESU FT-60R perfectly. Label on the battery packs reads "VX-FNB-V83", UpstartBattery.com, made in China.

My Yaesu FT-1500 & Vertex VX-150 -- my 2 starter transceivers -- have served me flawlessly for MANY years. Yet, when the old NiCd battery pack finally failed, I couldn't justify the money for the new Yaesu NiMH batteries and charger. I have no idea how much longer the VX-150 will work, and I do a lot of cross banding, so I use an old Alinco 580 and a new Yaesu FT-4XR more these days. Consequently, I stepped out in relatively blind faith to order this aftermarket bundle. Construction seems excellent -- Fit and finish were spot on -- Charged up and performed well -- Too early to gauge longevity and full performance. Given the apparent quality of the batteries and charger, I am encouraged to believe that I scored a bargain. I meant to do a bit of electrical performance assessment, but life got busy and I forgot to do so.

The battery on my FT-270 handheld packed it in, and this works well as a replacement. The recharger also works great - recharges in a few hrs. And the price was great.

Although they were supposed to be replacements, these batteries were too short to fit the radio. Therefore, they were returned. It took approximately 35 days to have the refund processed. It cost me $16.00 postage to return them, and the postage to mail them back was not refunded.

The seller provided a 5 day window for delivery. Item arrived on the 1st day of the window. The charger is very well constructed. Rubber feet secured to a metal plate on the underside makes it steady on my desk. As others have mentioned, the FT-60's original battery does not fit well in the charger BUT since that battery has fulfilled it's life expectancy and no longer keeps a charge, I will be recycling it. The (2) new batteries charged within 2 hours. My FT-60R radio displayed 8.2 volts once charged. At high power, 7.7 volts at 2 meters and 7.5 volts at 70 cm were maintained during transmit. That is one of the nice features of the FT-60 that you can monitor your voltage during receive and transmit. Yaesu rates their standard battery at 7.2 volt at 1,400 mAh. This supplier rates their batteries at 7.2 volt at 1,600 mAh. I feel this supplier's batteries provide excellent power. I don't typically write reviews but since I was so impressed with this purchase, I thought I would. I recommend this battery replacement and desk charger.

The build quality of both the batteries and the charger stand is good. The fitment of this product is excellent. Both batteries charged properly and the charger has a status LED that turns green from red when fully charged battery voltage is reached. The charging stand is a convenient place to store one's HT while maintaining a battery float charge :0).

Not only was the service prompt and easy, the battery performed better than the original. This battery is a Vertex battery (makers of the original Yaesu 60r dual band handheld transceiver, but it worked better than the original battery. The original would last for maybe four hours of listening and about 45 minutes of transmission. These batteries lasted two days of listening and one hour of transmission the way I operate. That's not too conclusive, because everyone operates differently. But to have four of them and each charges in about an hour with the desk top charger - well - to me - its amazing. I found features on the radio the original battery never lasted long enough with which to experiment. The charger can be used as a stand without charging. I put a piece of cardstock (3x5 index card cut to fit) behind the groove of the chargers to insulate the charger contacts and set the radio in front of it. The tilt is right and holds the radio erect for listening upright. I really do love this radio now. Thanks!

After 3 years my FT-60R charger is not supplying sufficient voltage (11.9 volts instead of 12.0+ volts) and my original battery pack does not hold a charge very long (a few hours). The price for an original Yaesu charger is $30. One battery pack is $30. This is a great deal for a battery charger and two battery packs. They charged up within a few hours. I put them in my radio. The radio does not complain. I did notice that the original FT-60R battery pack does not fit in the charger too well. I have to jam it in, and force it out when the charge is complete. It is not a big issue since I can charge the original battery pack in the radio, and I think it is almost ready for the garbage heap anyways. I like that I can charge the battery pack outside the radio. I can charge one pack while using the other.
