I ordered these to hang tools on in my garage and they do the job well for single tools that fit this size hook. The finish looks painted and is of acceptable quality. My only reason for not giving these a 5-star rating is the lip is a bit shallower than all my other hooks, causing them to not set flat against the wall (see attached pics). They do sit flat on another brand of slatwall in the closet area of my garage so I will be using then there instead. They're also a bit thinner gauge metal than my other hooks. Overall, they do the job but if I find myself needing more, I will be ordering more of the other brand.
