Please note: That when comparing old and new belts, the length of the new belt is usually 1 inch to 3 inches shorter than the stretched and worn old belt. You must stretch the belt quite forcefully to place the brush roller in place, and it is this tension that causes the brush roller to rotate. Once the brush roller is in place, please ensure that the brush can be easily rotated by hand and that the belt is not caught between the roller and the housing. If not corrected, this can cause the belt to break immediately. Having spare parts on hand is always a good idea.
