I bought this bracket to house my new 2.5" SSD. Everthing fit perfectly. The SATA cable was plenty long enough.

Easy to fit into my HP Elite 8100 SFF. The four holes to insert the supplied screws into the Crucial SSD were perfectly aligned and i simply removed the four attaching screw/runners from my old no longer used HDD ,screwed them into the sides of the caddy and pushed the combination into the quick release slots for the HDD.I am not sure i really needed to do this as up to now my SSD simply hung in the space above my optical drive and could not move much, but it just felt so incomplete and shoddy , so now i can be proud of my PC again. I didnt use the supplied cable.

no problems mounting my 2.5" SSD drive in the bracket, and the side mounting bolts should work for most installations. In my case, the side mounting uses special head bolts with a bigger thread size, however a bit of force on my bolts easily retapped the bracket and properly mounted in my PC. Can't blame this supplier for that! SATA cable with locking clips worked fine

Now I’m a computer scientist so the difficulty level is different. Easy to install obviously. Works great. Holds the drive in the correct place and doesn’t rattle around. Good price.

The main thing I wanted to note in this review is that the screws are all "CD ROM" sized. Most trays I've used like in the past have the smaller screws to hold the drive onto the cage and then normal hard drive screws to hold the cage into the computer. This one expects small screws to be used in all places, including mounting the cage into the PC. Normally this isn't a problem, but if you have very specific screws that need to be used (looking at you Compaq), the holes are too small. Fortunately, the metal is so thin you can jam it in there if you try hard enough, I was able to use larger screws with some elbow grease. The other thing I didn't like is that this tray felt short? When I took out the 3.5 drive that was in there and put this in it's place, the connections were not set much further back into a place the cables couldn't reach. I'm sure it was only an inch or so, but it made me have to re-route the cables. Would have been nice if this set the new drive connections to be where they would be relative to a 3.5" drive, not recessed back so far.All in all, it works, it does the job and it's cheap. But if you have anything that a fairly generic layout, like a Compaq or Dell or something, you may want to skip this one and go with the Sabrent instead. I've had much better luck with that one.
