My little girl kitten is getting spayed in a couple weeks and they want to charge us 26 bucks for an E-collar at the vet. No thanks. I also had a childhood dog who managed to defeat the E-collar and lick her stitches, which caused a nasty infection. We had to rig up a T-shirt to effectively function as a spay suit. This time, we’re going straight to the spay suit.Sizing is difficult for this little one because she is skinny (maybe the runt), but length needs to be a consideration when sizing for a bodysuit. As expected, this suit is loose on her, but that’s probably not a sizing issue with the item itself. I might have considered getting a small and hoping the length would stretch, but that may be borderline uncomfortable for her. (I have a two-pack of smalls in a different model on the way, since I was really confused about what size she would need.)They are a little fiddly to get on, but also, my kitten is very active and not super cooperative. It would be easier to get them on at the vet while she’s still sedated.Overall, I think I will still bring one of these on surgery day, and maybe one of the smalls from the other brand, and the vet can decide which will fit her better. I’m sure we’ll use these since I also foster, and other cats are likely to have more normal proportions than my little girl. If you foster or otherwise have a lot of cats coming through who are getting spayed it’s convenient to buy these two-packs.

I should have paid more attention to the length measurements, but I can say that the "weight" measurements aren't entirely correct for this product. My cat is under the weight limit for the small, and as you can see in the photos it's a very tight fit. I'm going to have to order the next size up, this won't be at all comfy post-surgery for her. Overall I'd order these (in a bigger size) again. The patterns are cute as heck, and while the cat is less than thrilled I wasn't. Good quality for the need. No smell from the packaging, and everything felt decent.

I chose the 2PCS Cat Recovery Suit in Medium for my six-month-old kitten, who weighs 6 lbs 10 oz and has a back length of 10 inches, in preparation for her upcoming surgery at the end of April 2025.The suits are adorable and easy to put on. However, the medium size fits snugly in length and I’m concerned it may become too tight in the 2 1/2 weeks between now and when she has her surgery. Her weight gain has slowed to 1-2 ounces per month, yet with it being so snug in length already, she doesn’t have room to grow. The drawstring neckline poses an issue; my kitten managed to slip her paw through the neck causing discomfort, and dislike. I worry she could be stuck for a while If I’m not home to adjust it. An elastic slide string around a cat neck is also unsettling even before she pushed her paw through it.On the positive side, the two-pack offers great value and convenience, allowing one suit to be worn while the other is washed. Potential buyers should consider sizing up, especially if their cat is at the mid to higher end of the size range, to ensure comfort and adequate coverage during recovery.

I love the ease of use of these suits. They are made well, wash up beautifully, and are such a valuable convenience when your cat has a long recovery time after a surgery. I highly recommend them to all my cat owner friends.

Works great for my cat! I had tried to over something similar to this before and used the sizing chart. It was completely off and I ended up ordering two sizes too big. This time I guessed my cat is a medium and I was right. She had a tumor removed from her abdomen and I wanted something to prevent her from licking the stitches that wasn't a cone of shame. These cat suits work great! The slip over her head, step her feet into it, and it Velcros in the back. She doesn't even try to take it off, but I don't know that she could. It doesn't seem to bother the stitches, and has full torso coverage other than by her tail so that she can use the litter box with it on. It's super easy to use and is a nice, light fabric so I don't worry that it's too hot for her. I am so happy with my choice.

I work at a rescue so I thought I'd get body suits for the most common weights that we spay. Our first girl was 9.2 pounds which was in the M weight range but no way it would fit her. It will fit more petite cats. The velcro is strong so ideal to put on while the cat is still asleep, then it will really hold but not get stuck in the wrong place with a squirmy kitty. Its the thickness of a tshirt, but it covers as needed-its meant to last 10-14 days. Size up, go by measurements if you can. It's nice to have 2 because they tend to get dirty if your cat doesn't want it on. Way better than an E collar banging around and cats get them off.

My cat just got surgery to get bladder stones removed so he's got stitches on his belly. He is 10lbs and I got a medium. It is Definitely not too tight on him but I feel like it may have not been quite long enough, not by much tho. I thought this would be better than a cone for when I'm not home to make sure he doesn't lick his stitches open. He can go potty there's enough room for that. He does however act like he's frozen and can't do anything in it. Maybe it's bc he's not used to wearing clothes so it feels weird. I think these surgery suits are a good idea.

My cat is about 12 pounds and the outfit fit very well. She is able to walk in it well without it being too tight or constricting. The outfit also looks really good. The only problem I have is that the outfit is very thin and my cat has already licked a hole into the material where her wound is. I mean for this to be a surgical recovery suit it is very thin and honestly none protective. I think maybe these should be more durable than they are.
