These magnetic pin “cushion” bracelets are cool. I don’t use mine for pins, but rather for my very small metal paint palettes. I tried using them for larger metal paint palettes, but my wrist grew weary and hurt afterwards. I can’t very well blame the product for that, however, as I was using it for something other than what was advertised. It is still worth mentioning, though, because there are many out there who enjoy creating ingenious new uses for things. To those people, I will state that the magnetism is strong enough to hold a small metal paint palettes,…perhaps even strong enough to clasp a larger palette. But if you have arthritis, or wrists that are not used to such a task, then it could be something you may want to be careful about. It is more than capable to perform the task that it was meant to do.

These magnetic wristbands do work in place of pin cushions. It's a little faster than stabbing into pin cushions, and maybe a little safer since the magnet can pick up pins you may have dropped. The wristband is okay. It's silicone covered and functions like a slap bracelet, so it's not the most comfortable if you need to wear it for an extended period while you're sewing. It's not really shaped to fit properly around a wrist. Wrists are oblong shapes, and slap bracelets are made to fit on something perfectly round, otherwise the ends of them roll and dig. It's not a major big deal, it's just not the most comfortable thing to wear, but it works.
