Magnetic Seam Guide for Sewing Machine

These have very strong magnets and it’s easy to sew a consistent seam, but I haven’t figured out how to get a 1/4” seam without impeding the feed dogs of my machine. My machine has a metal needle plate, but the rest of the body is plastic, so I am limited in its placement. They work well for garment sewing. I did have good results on my 1926 Singer treadle machine. I mainly use this machine to sew heavy leather. It worked great for top stitching as well as construction and didn’t budge even when multiple layers were in contact with it.
