I have been considering an electric ratchet for some time. Now that I'm older, I have developed arthritis in my right thumb joint making it difficult to use most tools effectively. I like to work on and tinker around with my lawn mowers in the warm weather but just can't deal with a manual ratchet for the pain. I saw this battery powered ratchet and figured I would give it a try. I charged both batteries and tried it with some nuts and bolts around the house. It worked very well, and I was able to use it with my right hand with no problems. It was a little awkward at first but didn't take long to get the hang of it. It should have all the power I need for what I will be using it for. It seems well made and should hold up for my tasks. At least now I will still be able to work on my lawn mowers. That makes me happy!

I just changed the brakes and rotors on my van and used this electric ratchet throughout the process. Not the the max ft-lbs means you aren't going to use this to be breaking the tightness on most nuts/bolts. But, once you've gotten it started with a manual tool, this is great for getting the parts off quickly and with less of my own energy. There's a lot of times when working on cars that it's hard to generate enough push or pull with a hand tool due to the awkward positions you need to be in, and the space that needs to be clear to use a normal ratchet. This can save the day by providing the force instead, without needing space to ratchet. The tool is a little finicky, sometimes the trigger doesn't want to pull the first time, and I seemed to knock the little lock button into the locked position pretty often. After replacing the brakes and rotors, including taking off the tires and putting them back on, the tool was still on its first battery, and the battery still said it was at 4 bars of power. The bag is better than no bag, but I would have liked it to be more intentional in its design. The tool doesn't fit well with the battery left attached, and the open slots are terrible to hold the included socket set. You'll need to find a bag to keep those in, but then they will be fine in the case. The price seems high at around $90, and I'd suggest something around $70 to be fair.

CONFIRMING TORQUE:The sellers’ description indicates max ft. lb. is 60. The manual specs say 55. In any event, I tested the ft. lbs. against a beam, click and digital torque wrench. I consistently measured torques about 55-60 ft. lbs.SOCKETS:While I most likely will be using sockets from my tool cabinet, the sockets included should be in some type of case. They are loose and the dividers in the tool zippered carry bag will not restrict them to one compartment. I put them in a Ziploc bag. SEE PICTURE.BATTERIES:1. I appreciate having two batteries rather than just one.2. I would prefer a full-sized charger over a wall wart for faster charging. The second battery should suffice while the spare charges slowly.3. There are 4 green charge status LED’s that say illuminated momentarily after the status button is pressed.CARRY CASE:1. The carry case has 1 zipper.2. The case is a padded dernier fabric.3. There are four compartments that accommodate the contents (other than the sockets commented above). SEE PICTURE.4. The ratchet is secured with two Velcro straps. SEE PICTURE.5. I prefer to keep a battery attached to the tool during storage (SEE PICTURE). There is an on/off switch that will prevent the tool from powering up during storage. The case is just a bit undersize to accommodate the battery being attached but can still zipper close.I recommend this TaskStar cordless ratchet wrench.

This cordless ratchet wrench has plenty of power for the average bolts on your vehicle's engine or frame, up to 60 ft lbs. It also comes with 1/4" and 1/2" adaptors when you're scaling up or down. It includes a selection of 6-point sockets (10 thru 17 mm) and two batteries for when you're in the middle of your work and your tool runs out of charge.Naturally, it has a built-in light to see where you are working and a variable speed trigger so you don't strip off the head of your bolts. My only quibble is the tool has no torque settings, so start fast and finish slow, if you get my meaning!Recommended.

I don't use ratchet wrenches often, but having this set on hand has made remodeling my bathroom a little easier. I have a few other places in my house where bolts need to be tightened, so this should work well for those. Overall, a very good set, even for people who don't need it for everyday use.

This very battery life once it is charged and it is great to have a 2nd battery included. There is no organization for the sockets but you could probably keep them in a Ziploc bag even though that looks pretty cheesy. The sockets that are included are not high-end at all, but I think I can use my sockets with this. For the cost I think there should be a better way to house the entire thing. I do like that it has a light so that I can see even better. I still think it is more handy to have a socket wrench unless you are doing a bigger project where you're going to be tightening or loosening up bolts repeatedly. I have to admit it also gets very heavy after using it for a while.
