This hotend is one of the very few hotends out on the market with a 3 in 1. For that sake I appreciate it. It does work, with some retraction tuning you can be color swapping in no time! However, there are some serious issues with this hotend and specifically this listing.1. The heat block is smaller than the stock heat block on most mk8 hotends, though it will take a mk8 heat block, I had to set aside the stock heatblock because it came without a silicone sock. Other makers of the same product sell it with a sock so that was confusingThrew a stock ender 3 heatblock on with a sock and it prints!2. The heat brake is only being held to the upper heatsink of the hotend with 2 m2 set screws, this makes the heatblock want to twist over time with the prints, set screws loosen and the entire hotend clogged. I spent a good hour cleaning it before realizing the set screws self loosened and caused the massive ooze.3. The heatbrake has a PTFE guide inside of it. Totally thought I was getting an all metal hot-end/heatbrake but my mistake for assuming that.4. The inside of the hot end where all 3 Bowden tubes meet was milled with low precision, there were aluminum burrs still in the hot end that I manually plucked out before install, double check if you buy to make sure it’s clean in there. All that said, it is a fun way to upgrade a 3 extruder printer. I threw it on my geeetech a10T and it works with a few printed mounts.

I've toyed with this for 6 months now and I can't get it to work right. Works great without filament switching but I never could quite figure out the correct retraction settings. Support on it from the manufacturer sucks, very little documentation on the web for it. I'm an expert 3d printer user/modifier and eventually I'll probably figure it out but for now I've moved on to other projects. If you are not an expert modifier stay away. The vendor was responsive and tried to send me some info which I appreciated. I've since purchased other items from them and highly recommend them as a vendor.

Wonderful extruder, I haven't gotten a chance to print with it using three filaments yet due to waiting for the stepper motors to arrive and need to get the new board set up. Only issues I've had are that I had to design the carrier for it, and the fan died after a few days of use.

Once I got the code correct, I had it making 3 colored prints in awesome detail... no need to find zero for 3 different print heads.

This product is such a hidden gem .. need some instruction for tuning the extruder for your advance user this is got great resolution. You will need to universal mounts to make it easier to consume.Documentations and availability of universal mount for replacing your extruder print it from 4/5 star.

Fan died within 10 hrs running time Just bought one with ball bearings to replace it. A good fan cost $10 here on amazon so figure you will need to replace the fan quickly after you start use of this Item

The required retraction settings, and prime tower volume to get colors not to blend makes this consume far more time and material than what it's worth. Switched to a Diamond hotend instead, and much happier.

I have been tinkering with both of my 3d printers for about a year and a half trying to get dual extrusion to work, with no luck.Once I got this 3 in 1 mounted. I have had not one problem with it. Getting the mixing retraction correct was easy to figure out. I ended up with a 70 mm retraction. I’m totally fine with that. I installed a 40x40 size fan behind the 3 in 1 for better cooling. And I use large high torque steppers for extrusion. I would buy another one of these but for my other printer I’m looking for a 4 in 1.Awesome product with smooth mixing.
