Product seems welded shut. The bottom says “click to release” but that doesn’t help.No clue how to open it. No directions, nothing. Just a cheap plastic mold with no directions.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The box is made of thick plastic and is quite robust. Keystone jacks fit perfectly. You'll need to supply your own zip ties to secure the cables for strain relief.

I found this particular 8 port patch pannel as the only available non 8 port rackmount patch panel in an affordable price range. I searched high & low for an 8 port surface mount patch panel and this was the only one. I was skeptical when I ordered it, but when I received it, it turned out to be quite well made and with the included keystone jacks very easy to assemble, mount, and use. I was especially surprised to see the capability to tie-down the cables (in my case quite stiff Cat6a cables) so they don't move. All-in-all a good value for money.

I've added two photos so you can see the top and bottom of the product from both the inside and outside perspective. I used Iwillink keystones and they fit perfectly. The keystone release clip faces the bottom of the box. You'll see small square shaped holes on the bottom that you can use to stick a small screwdriver through to unclip the keystone. For most application that means, you would have to remove the cover, unscrew the box from the wall in order to unclip a keystone. Each port also has a way for you to tie down the cable before it exits the box. For my application, this is just what I was needing.By the way Leviton keystones will not fit. Leviton keystones are 16.9 mm high. A wiki article says the keystone faces are 16.5mm x 14mm. You might be able to file a Leviton keystone down a slight bit to make it fit, but I didn't try that.

Covers up a standard wall outlet opening but you need to drill your own holes into it to pull the cables through from the back and screw it in to the standard holes. I wish the Leviton 41089-4WP accepted regular keystone jacks but in the meantime this is the best alternative - just make sure you also have the drill bits to modify it (including step drill bits or something to cut out the back).

Used this box to house connections for my tv/streaming center. It did what I wanted.

Used these for a few keystone installed for a demo stand. This housing worked perfectly since I didn't have a true rack for mounting.

Be very careful with the keystone sockets, and the plastic is very thin and seems very fragile. Would have liked a more secure fitting cover, but it still seems to do the job well. The keystones are right next to an over-hanging piece of plastic from the base of this thing, and with my HDMI keystone, it gets in the way and stops an HDMI cable from fully inserting. But the pins still make contact, and the video still works, so I guess it's okay, but it seems like the base of the unit could be redesigned to not stick out more than the keystones.

Works fine, and the sockets are easy to snap in and out. Looks good too. Only snag is that there are little cut-outs for the wire to exit, in the edge of the cover behind each socket. This is good, but there's nothing to hold the wires in line with them, so lining up 8 separate wires while snapping the cover on is a pain. It would have been so easy to do better! There's also no option for wires to exit at either end instead of the back (but at least it's soft plastic, so you can cut your own). Overall, fine for the price.

I bought 2 of these to manage my Cat6 cabling for PoE home surveillance camera system. They fit standard “keystone “ style Ethernet RJ-45 jacks or whatever other port you need that’s available in keystone form factor.Keep in mind this is the surface mount box only - you have to buy the jacks separately. The box is a pure white color and includes double sided tape so you can just peel and stick into place. The keystone jack I bought from another brand fit perfectly, snug fit and no play or hassle.

Accept’s coupling keystones, perfect. A bit expensive but good quality.

Just finished installing this yesterday. The only thing I would change is using round head screws instead of flat head. That would put less stress on the case. Otherwise it worked perfect.

Got what I wanted at a great price. I used it to organize the network cabling in my condo. Provides a surface to label your connections, so you're not guessing which run goes where.
