The original bent Shure stylus was better, the sound was low quality but better than the 35 year old one that came off. If you walk by the TT, this stylus will not stay seated no matter what.

I purchased this low cost stylus to install in a genuine Shure M55E cartridge. This combo is installed in a rescued Pioneer PL 112D turntable. I don't believe the previous stylus was original either however it was visibly old and faded. To my ears this 4759 DE replacement sounds warm and clear albeit the volume is reduced by 3-4 dB compared to the previous stylus. Overall I'm satisfied with this replacement.

All stylus sound a little different sometimes a lot different.so I have several new stylus that I like to interchange and get different sounds.
