I used this to connect a natural gas emergency generator for my home. The size was perfect for where I placed the box. The wire connectors were easy to access and tightened snuggly, holding the wired securely. It’s very steady, there is no movement when I plug and unplug the generator. I am very pleased with this item.

This worked perfectly, except for the one huge inconvenience: The knockouts are not knockouts. It's basically an embossed circle on the (hardened?) steel exterior, taunting you, showing where you could try to cut a hole through to pass wires in... but only if you have carbide hole saw bits or I don't know, an acetelene torch or maybe lightsaber.Obviously I'm not a pro, but I defintely ruined a couple drill bits and [wood] hole saw bits trying to bust through this box. Would it have killed them to actually perforate the knockouts? (Or at least stamp them a little thinner... I know it needs to be weather-proof)

Not well made. Knock outs do not come out easy and the little screw barely keeps the unit closed. I need to fix a larger screw.

In my installation, I had to install the box upside down (inside my garage). The bottom plate came off while trying to knock out the hole for the wiring. I ended up drilling holes in the frame of this and adding screws to put it back together. Now that everything is in place, it works fine. The welds are just not very secure, and the pre-punched knock-outs are not punched well enough to allow the knock-outs to come out without damaging the box.
