Don't bother. Arrived dead, depleted, this is a bad omen for a li-on battery. Next day, wouldn't charge, charger indicated it was defective. Was finally able to get it to take a charge, voltage after 2 brief charge cycles was 52v. It likely has a bad cell right out of the box. Returned for replacement, same thing with the replacement. They are probably shipping out defective and returned units hoping people won't notice until they are past the return window.

I have 4 original 2.0 and 2.5 amp batteries that come with the different tools I've bought. Two batteries have died so I bought this 5.0 amp to replace them. It works and fits my chainsaw and weed wacker very well and I assume it will work with the blower and hedge trimmer too. It is much heavier. Imagine 2 of the 2.0 amp batteries taped together. It lasts much longer, still had 2 out of 5 green lights indicating charge level when I was done.I read reviews on some of these replacement batteries being charged and not turning off after they were charged up. This one fully charged and did turn off the charger when it was done. I still have and was using the original EGO charger. I like it.

Works as advertised. Remember it is only a 5ah battery. I have a small yard to mow and it did the job. I did have to charge it after mowing.

My mower came with the 7.5 amp hour battery. I wanted to get an extra battery for additional mowing time. The 7.5 amp hour batteries are very difficult to find. This battery is a direct fit, and charges just like the original. I haven't used it enough to comment on longevity. I don't know how long a charge would last mowing the typical lawn. I usually mow tall, or very thick grass, and this charge life considerably. I haven't noticed it being unduly short using this battery.

Loved that this was about half price compared to the Ego equivalent. And it looks very similar as well. It charged up well, and used is in my lawnmower several times without issue.But I plugged it into my leaf blower, and had some issues. The blower just stopped working in the middle of the task. My Ego 4MAh battery in the lawn blower has always worked flawlessly Turned out the battery was not quite solid and secure in the tool. I had to keep pulling the battery out of the clamp, and shove it back in to latch again in order to restablish connection. I'll have to mess with to see if I can make the connection more solid, which hopefully won't be too difficult.You can balance the cost savings against the tedium of having the thing die on you occasionally during use.
