The ratchet engage/disengage lever is almost unusable.It is stiff, sharp and awkward to switch over.It is flat, recessed and small.If you wear gloves while sailing it will be virtually impossible to get to.The block works okay but to change the function over in a hurry is difficult and potentially dangerous.I would not recommend this ratchet block.
