Very heavy duty cable. Much thicker than average. Works great, very fast.

This charging cable is a long heavy-duty cable. This cable also carries the transfer speeds that will prevent any data transfer delays. Oh...did I mention that this cable is long!??! This cable is 16 feet long! You will definitely will not have to stay close to a power outlet to use your device. I would absolutely recommend this cable.

Since it is likely to be moved around a lot over its life and always needs to work, it's good to see a USB cable with quality construction focused on tethering. But it will work find for other USB uses too. Simple to connect. How simple to use depends on your camera and software. Don't forget to secure the cable itself to something fixed so you can't pull over the camera in an accident.

I’m not exactly sure what this cable is suppose to do. I connected this cable from my Nikon Z5 to my laptop. The description said I could see photos in real time. This is why I got this cable. Then I realized you need to get some software. I tried the NX Tether software, but it still didn’t work. It said the Z5 doesn’t support live view. I couldn’t even get it to store photos on the laptop as I took some photos. Pretty much this cable didn’t do much for me except to view the photos on the camera’s SD cards.

Nearly 50% of my photo shoots are tethered either for headshots, product, fashion, beauty, etc. and I have always used the Tether Tools cables as they just work. The YAMCOWL (I'm assuming that means something..??) cable worked just fine with my set-up. I do prefer USB-C to USB-C whenever possible as I don't need a dongle/hub but this worked just fine.As an aside - I shot with my Canon 1 DX Mark III which was tethered into my 16" MacBook Pro 2023 M2 Max - the USB-A was attached to a RAZR USB-C 11-port travel dock, and I tether into Capture One.There were no issues and the speed from click to screen was a tiny bit slower than a straight USB-C to USB-C cable but this wasn't a production/speed sensitive shoot. The length of cable was fine, too, at just about 10 feet. What I did do was to put a couple of small spots of green gaff tape on the cable as the black cable was harder to see on the dark floor of the facility. The Tether Tools are bright orange which really helps in these situations.Other than that I can only recommend this as a significantly less expensive (~$20 less) option.

Ok... so this cable does what is promised. I don't tether often from my Nikon Z6ii to my computer but, when I do, this cable has come in very handy. No errors and the data transfer speed is quick between the camera ▸ cable ▸ USB-C dongle ▸ MacBook Air M1 ▸ Lightroom Classic. Another reviewer is correct... I would have liked to see a longer option at this price point and I feel like a braided sheath would have been an excellent option (I know that's not a current tether tools option either). This cord is quite stiff but maybe that will add to its durability over time. It lost a star for the length and the sheath for the price. Other than that, this is a fine cable and if the size works for you, I would recommend.

I have to be honest, I'm surprised there aren't more options out there for long USB cables to tether a camera. This one is a fine option if you're okay with a shorter cable. The standard is usually around 15 feet and this one is noticeably shorter. Looking at the price I feel that for the length and quality, I'd probably still lean towards getting the Tether Tools product, but at $25 or less this represents a great value.

Have bought a bunch of UBS C cables before, but really like this one because of the inline filter, and its heavy duty construction. Have bought cheaper cables in the past, but got cheap results. This is the one to get if you want to make your life easier.
