I received some other wooden eggs as well as these for my review. I had an issue where some bantams would occasionally lay outside the nest box when I had emptied it of all eggs. I couldn't find any wooden eggs that were the same size as bantams so I tried these. They are a bit shiny but the size and weight are very similar to real eggs. The bantams must not know what size their eggs are because it worked. There hasn't been a single egg outside the nesting box since leaving a couple of these eggs in it.

For just $2, I got this for my son who loves eggs and loves to cook. This was a perfect add on to his kitchen set. He has the sunny side up eggs together sausages and fried chicken. He always almost eats hard boiled eggs for breakfast. He helps himself in the fridge and I typically have hard boiled eggs already prepared for him. He has tricked his grandparents and also dad to peeling the shell off of his hard boiled eggs in the morning only to hand them this decoy. It gets them each time. So hilarious. He loves having them too as pretend eggs in his own kitchen. It’s a great price for pretend eggs that last forever.

My family gave me a funky metal chicken sculpture for Mother's Day. We've all become fond of it, although it took my dog a little time, as the chicken's head bobs gently in the breeze from our ceiling fan, making my pooch wonder if it could be alive. The body of the chicken is a small bucket, and I like to alternate between filling it with flowers and eggs. These eggs look realistic, and the brown is subtle against the brighter colors of the sculpture. I also plan to use these while decorating for Easter.
