Just installed it the other day. Kinda difficult to install only because you don’t have much room. Product was a permit fit tho.

Installed this in the rear driver’s side door of an 06 Honda Accord. Looked just like the part it was replacing. Excited to have the automatic lock working again. It has been over a month and everything is working well.The install took a bit of time (maybe 40 minutes), but I watched a YouTube video as I went and had no problem doing it myself. Saved so much money going this route over taking it to a shop.

Exact fit on 2006 Honda Accord front driver’s door. Not fun to install. Took 1hr 30 minutes for the mechanically inclined.Tip: Recommend turning over the key to on in ignition when done and then using door lock unlock 1 cycle. Works great with remote after that.

Needed to replace a lock actuator for my 2007 Honda Ridgeline driver door. Original actuator started to bind and prevent my locking mechanism from physically moving up and down. Gave installation a 5 star only because it's easy if you know how to get into your door panel (go to youtube) but can be tricky if you never did it before. Part fits exactly and looks like an OEM part. Works well once was installed, but too early to know if part will last long. Only noticeable difference is that lock tab doesn't go up and down as easily when manually moved, but I wonder if that will move more easily over time. Overall, a great value for price tag!

The OEM unit lasted over 12 years. This one didn’t last 2 with much less use too. Would rather pay more for not having to go through the hassle of removing and installing another one.

Exact match to the OEM part that it replaces. It even had the exact same casting marks and digits on it. The photos show the new actuator next to the one I removed from my Honda. Obviously, the dirty part is my old one. Very fast shipping and well packaged. This is the part you need if your driver's door won't lock when you push the interior lock switch or with your key transmitter. It also fixes your alarm not setting with the key button.I installed the new actuator in less than an hour, but if you don't have a proper door panel popper or haven't had the joy of working with your door locks on a previous occasion, it will probably take you a little longer. The hardest part of the entire job is disconnecting the electrical connectors for the window switches and mirror controls. Age fuses the plastic parts together and they become hard to separate. Everything else is simple and you can find lots of videos on YouTube to help you. Time will tell if it performs as well as the OEM actuator, but considering that I just had to replace it, the OEM actuator wasn't all that great to begin with.UPDATE: The actuator failed after about 6 months of use. I contacted the seller and they agreed to ship a new part. I will wait until the new part is installed to post an updated rating. I think that it could have just been a bad one, but we will see.As far as the other reviewers complaining about the part not fitting their vehicle, it isn't difficult to do a little research and get the correct OEM part number for YOUR VEHICLE. It isn't the seller's fault that this actuator didn't fit your car because it fit mine without any problem. I always get the OEM part number before I buy any vehicle parts online.UPDATEOkay, so the thing only lasted about 7 months before it died. But the seller offered a 1 year warranty and they honored it. I just sent them an email and they sent me a new part. The new one seems a little stronger, but I guess we'll see. Happy with the seller.

Fit and function is identical to the OEM part. Works perfectly, restores auto lock-unlock feature to the door locks. Good value for the replacement part at a fraction of what the dealer would charge just for the part. Doing the installation yourself saves about 90% over the dealer cost. In terms of the actual job of changing out the actuator, I would rate this repair as difficult. And that's with having all the tools you would need and a fair amount of auto repair experience. The You-Tube videos that are out there are not detailed enough to keep you out of trouble in doing this repair.
