  • Replacement Part Number: 77119 heater relay board replaces 74618 as of September 10, 2013 ,and replaces 73357.This is the latest revision of the IQ2020 control box 2001-2009.5 IQ2020 heater relay board.The improved design reduces fatigue on the two "beefed up" relays by providing a more efficient method of connecting the heater power cord to the circuit board. The large gray terminal block now connects the black wire on the heater power cord to the H1 position. A separate gray terminal block is used to connect the white (neutral) wire from the heater.
  • How to Detect: How do you know if your relay board needs to be replaced? ①Turn the temp up and make sure the heater led is on. ②Check the voltage going to the heater at H1 and H2.If no volts are going to the heater then the relay board needs to be replaced. ③D9 light of 77119 flashing red is also an automatic failure of the heater board.④If the front or back of the heater board is burnt,you need to replace it.

Notes: In older control boxes, you may find that there is a chip on the right side of the new heater relay board that prevents the metal guard from being properly seated.To correct this problem, cut off a small section of the metal guard so that it can be bent up and away from the chip.

This was a bit of a challenge to install. The schematic is printed so small it is hard to read. The wiring does not match my old wiring diagram so I had to do a from and to point to point diagram of my own.The board looks to be good quality and after determining how to wire it in it fit into the compartment well. Start up went well and the spa came up to temp pretty quickly overnight. Can't comment for on longevity but will return if not satisfactory.
