I had reasonably high hopes for this, given the price. Unfortunately, that was not to be.Out of the box, the needle indicator was way off its mark. There is an adjustment screw on the front that you turn to reset the needle to zero (0) for calibrating. This would not adjust anywhere close to the zero mark. I was able to open the case by removing the face plate and, with a little work, finally got that zero. But, as luck would have it, the pointer would wonder from a bit above to below zero with each movement of the gauge from spot to spot on my workbench.Arrived in a plain box wrapped in a plastic bag. A small parts bag contained washers and nuts for mounting. At first look it looked to be well made and I had expected the need to calibrate the unit. Photos show where the needle was and the screw for calibrating.Bottom line is it looks good but is absolutely useless... Sorry but this is what my findings were. Now this might be a "one off" problem but without a second gauge I am unable to tell.

This meter has a nice damped movement. I put a series resister in line, hooked to a variable power supply and got accurate readings. Reminds me of the meters made in the 50's (well made then). Worth getting.
