I bought this pic rail adapter to mount on a Marlin 60. The rifle is old and beat up, so I decided to rattle can camo it, and throw on a CQB optic so it could be used as a “truck-🔫” Once mounted, it seems to hold securely, but is offset slightly to the left. This is possibly because the dovetail is NOT 11mm, which this rail is described to be used for. Regardless, for my intended purpose as a rapid-acquisition, non-precision platform, this should be no problem (think: torso-sized target at 25-50 meters). I had to flip the bottom “mount piece” for it to properly grab the dovetail…probably because the dovetail is narrower than 11mm on this rifle. At any rate, it’s holding. I will update if I find that the offset is not “workable” or if the rail is unsuitable, otherwise. But so far, I’m fine with it.

I have a rare Savage "combo" 222 rifle /over 20ga 3in mag, which,as it turns out ,is 1 heck of a varmint getter. long range, up close ,got it all covered. The top bbl. is grooved like a 22 cal.,and 22 style rings were not happy when the 20ga. went off. Next a slide on Weaver adapter, really not much better,it slid, scope and all. I found these Pic rails on Amazon and problem solved, clamp tight, dedicated Pic rail type rings hold a vintage Redfield TV view 3x9 scope ,and a nifty little Pic. type 45degree offset,now holds a new red dot. Sighted in the 222 with the Redfield and the 20ga with the Red Dot. I'm happy, yoties not so much !!!
