I am so impressed with the quality of this tray! It is heavy and the wood is absolutely beautiful! While I’ll be using it as a decor item I can absolutely see this being the centerpiece of a snack tray or other food holder. For the price you just cannot find a more beautiful statement piece!

There are many species of Acacia. Native to Africa and Australia.It's known for its density hardness and tight wood grain. I was really excited to get this serving tray as I enjoy a late evening snack in bed with my wife.I was hoping it was a solid piece of wood used for the bottom of the tray, but unfortunately it's 4 pieces of wood glued together varying in widths. From 2 3/8 inch to 3 7/8 inch. To me this steals away from the beauty that Acacia has naturally in its wood grain. It has that old time charm that a quiet cabin in the mountains may have, but lacks the luster that you would get if it were fully finished with a lacquer.I'm also concerned how well it will hold up in time as it's 8 pieces of wood that's glued together. The finger holes fits 4 of my fingers easily making it easy to grasp. The inside depth is right at 2 inches and with and inside height and length being 11 1/4 inches by 15 1/4 inches, it fits plenty of goodies. I feel safe to say I wouldn't loose any of its contents as I travel upstairs to the bedroom.It is an okay looking serving tray, not as finished as I would like. However it seems to be perfectly functional for my needs. I'll be using for weekend get togethers with friends and for late evening snacks in bed. So I'll enjoy this lovely serving tray for however long it lasts. As far as it's price point. It's on target with similar items.

This tray is beautiful in person. Constructed from solid acacia wood- it looks and feels very well made. Because it is solid wood, it has a bit of heft to it.It’s generous size allows one a lot of flexibility of use. Personally, I’ve been using it on my desk to store documents that need filing.The wood feels very smooth to the touch and its handles make for easy transport. With proper care this tray can last indefinitely. I love this tray. It's well made; there was no warping, scratching, splintering, or any other signs of defect or wear. The variation in the colors is beautiful, as is the visible grain in the wood. The tray is sturdy, the walls are thick, and the edges are rounded, giving it an elegant finish. The value for the cost is excellent.
