What is a crab snare?
A crab snare is a simple cage filled with bait with 6 loops sticking straight up that are designed to trap the crabs when they try to take the bait. It’s usually casted from a fishing rod and allows you to effectively catch crab from jetties, piers and beaches.

How to use the snare? What are the best crab baits?
Simply cast the crab snare into a sandy area with lots of crabs, wait about 10 minutes, then reel it in, keep the line tight.
Anything smelly and stinky! Fish pieces, e.g. mackerel. Squids. Chicken or turkey pieces. For the best result, make a mix.
