This lightweight and compact unit is a solid value for the money. Laser rangefinder’s can easily be 3x-4x more expensive than this. Its size makes it easy to use and transport. It can have some issues nailing distance sometimes and can be off by a few yards. This is more than adequate though for the majority of times.

I can remember the first rangefinder I ever purchased. It was using a "Ranging" rangefinder that required me to look through a small lens and adjust a thumbwheel to get two images to align in the viewfinder. Very cumbersome and not all that accurate. It's hard to believe how accurate this new electronic rangefinder is and how little it costs. Compared to my current rangefinder, this is every bit as accurate at half the price. It has two modes, one for simple distance to target and the other adjusts the distance to account for vertical angles. I often bowhunt from treestands and the angle created from shooting from a raised platform can make a difference in where your arrow strikes if you don't compensate. Having a rangefinder that will make these compensations is great. This rangefinder includes a wrist strap and a nice nylon case to carry it afield with. The readings inside the rangefinder were easy to read once I adjusted the manual focus and provided quick measurements every time. I wish it had the capability to adjust the amount of time it stayed on after taking a reading but I can live with that. I will probably add some orange tape around the rangefinders housing after having had one fall out of the case before. It took a while to find a green rangefinder on the ground. A bit of orange will make it much easier if I ever have to go backtracking again to find a misplaced item. This will be on my side when I hit the archery range this summer shooting 3D.

Some background. I've been an Archery hunter for almost 50 years. Most of my experience with rangefinders are related to closer distances for Archery. My rifle shots are all under 200 yds so no rangefinder needed there.First I really like this and it WILL be my new Archery rangefinder.I like:Optics- nice and clearGrip- is a textured rubbery coating that won't be slippery.BATTERIES: are standard AAA (not included)All of the advertised info is accurate so please read that. You can select meters or yards and distances are provided to the tenth. Shortest/closest distances seem to be 3.3 yards. If you hold down the scan button and move the range finder it provides "live" feedback of distances on different items. I do really like that!I was able to perform accuracy tests against another range finder (older one) out to 200 yds and readings were always within 1 yd. The older unit only provided whole numbers so discepancies were probably rounding. I could easily get ranges on items 3-400 yds and had some success out past 600 yards, but my suggestion is if you need a rangefinder for these longer distances like for hunting out west, you'd probably, be better off investing in a better unit that should have better software to interpret the reflected beam. All in, I would definitely recommend this for Archery use and probably out to 400 ish yards only because that's what I comfortably tested it to.At the time of writing this, there were no reviews. Don't let that bother you because this appears to be an upgraded hunting model for Ailemon. Their other model seems popular and has over 350 reviews at almost 5 stars. I noticed they have a golf model also.

This rangefinder is really clear and easy to operate but... The measurements seem to be way off from time to time. I'll take a measurement on an object, then another object, and go back to the first object, and it says it's ten meters closer. Just stuff like that. Not every single time; but sometimes. I'm new with rangefinders though, so maybe it just requires some more work on my part. The directions weren't super helpful. It's really light, and the display is super easy to read. I still believe this rangefinder is a really good value for the price.

I wanted to wait until I had a really good chance to use this rangefinder before I left a review for it. I wanna say that fit and finish of this piece is really nice. It has a good look to it. It feels solid. It has a good feel in the hand and it’s the perfect size to take with you on the range both for golfing and for rifle shooting. I used it to help site in my new scope and it worked out perfectly. I like that it has a red illumination while you look through it if you want, but then it also doesn’t stay on all the time so that I don’t feel like I’m wasting my battery. It uses standard AAA batteries, which is nice but it did not come with any. I would think at least on the surface it would come with some cheap Chinese knock off batteries or something especially at this price point. But that’s OK. I never use those anyway, but I figured I would put it out there. I did compare it to my buddies rangefinder and we were getting the exact same measurements or extremely close to the exact measurements on every point we tried I would definitely recommend this rangefinder, especially for its price point for anyone who’s looking to improve their golf game and or just wants a nice utilitarian piece for either accurate measurements for long distances outside or sighting in riflescopes like I use this one for.
