About this item

  • Pre assembled aquarium uv sterilizer requires no additional pump or plumbing
  • Suitable for both freshwater & saltwater & pond use
  • Power: 110v/60hz
  • Adjustment valve for regulating flow to fountain head and/or auxiliary water feature
  • 13 watt ultraviolet sterilizer - kills free floating algae, bacteria and parasite

The cnz cup-139 combines all of the equipment required to run a healthy, algae free small pond in a single smart unit with just the one power cable allowing for a much easier installation compared to a standard small pond set up. This small pond multi purpose system has a built in 13w uvc lamp and built in filtration so their is no need to purchase an external filtration system for your pond that would be difficult to disguise around small pond landscaping. The system is supplied also with a high quality fountain attachment set that comes complete with four different fountain attachments for a variety of different fountain displays in your pond. The fountain attachment set has a splitter so you are able to divert water to a waterfall for example and both the splitter and fountain have water flow rate adjusters so the strength of your fountain and amount of water you divert from the unit is down to you.

My pond was full of algae now it’s very clear. I’m very impressed with how the pump works. I would recommend it.

Although it will clear your medium-sized pond of green algae in a mere few days, the cheap shoddy craftsmanship will guarantee that within no time water will leak into the UV assembly and fry the bulb out. Ah! That’s it — that’s why all my koi as well as hitchhiking bullfrogs were all floating belly up. Here I was suspecting the neighbor of pouring bleach into my pond, but I knew something was amiss when I noticed this piece of cheap garbage would trip my gfci outlet instantly. So, opening it up led me to discover water all up in places it isn’t supposed to be. Faulty washers? Poor design? Both? Whatever the case, save your time, money, and your pond creatures and look elsewhere.

This really works! From pea green soup to crystal clear water in three weeks! I was skeptical at first, but decided to try anyway. Best value for your money. You can actually see the lamp working at night as some of the light shines through where two parts meet. Just be patient and you'll start seeing results in a week's time. Best to put the whole thing in the middle of your pond for better results. I have an 800 gallon pond which used to be so murky. Today, I can clearly see all the way to the bottom.

read a bunch of reviews that had trouble with these, so i bought two just to be sure that my pond would stay clean if one broke. except they never broke, they just needed cleaning, which isn't a product of the device itself, but the pond. these units kept working throughout the spring summer and fall, i cleaned the filters as needed, in spring it was every other week, in summer it was sometimes twice a week. but a quick rinse and reassemble always returned the units to proper working order. Will definitely use them again next year.

filter easy to clean, I am using this on a ledge in my 3000 gallon pond, so far after one week, I can see about a foot down into my pond. when I installed this, I couldn't see anything. super easy to use--plug it in, drop it in the water and go.. am not using any o f the fountain attachments, just letting the water run straight out the pipe. small fish like to play in the bubbles created when water drops back into the pond (shoots up about a foot) I would imaging this would quickly clear a smaller body of water. my pond is 10 x 15 x 3.5 feet deep

UPDATE: 06-01-17 Seller sent a replacement bulb quickly and the unit has been working fine again for the past week and the green is once again gone. This has been a wonderful addition to our pond and the improvement to the water clarity is fantastic. I dont have a current pic but this UV pump is nothing short of amazing. I did have to place an additional anchor on the unit to keep it from becoming buoyant and floating up as the 4 little suction cups wont stick to my pond. I'm sure if we didnt have over 20 fish, several plants, and kids who over feed the fish the water would be even more clear.Original review: I would like to love this item but the light stopped working in less than 11 days as the UV light appears to be burnt. Installed on 5-7-17 and the water quality improved greatly in the following days but around 5-18-17 the pond was green again as picture below. I cleaned the filter after the first 3 days then again around day 8, nothing out of the ordinary and the pump is working great. Today I inspected the light bulb unit and took some picks of the light that appears to be burnt with lots of the filament particles gathering on the inside of the glass like its already a year old. The unit doesnt leak into the light area so not sure why it already failed. I have asked the seller for a replacement unit or a replacement UV light bulb. I hope the seller can resolve my issues, will update this review then.

We have a 400 gallon pond in sunny southern california. Nothing fancy, just holds some goldfish. Our problem was that we had green water. Really bad green water - where you can't see the fish at all unless they come to the surface. Tried different anti-algae chemicals, but it didn't clear up the green water and it actually killed some fish. Most UV filters cost a lot of money and I wasn't ready to invest that in our little pond with cheap goldfish. I discovered this unit and thought I'd give it a try due to it's low cost. Just drop it in the pond and plug it in. This filter cleared up our green water in one week! And for whatever reason, I'm not seeing any clogging of the filters (like others have mentioned). We've had it for 2 weeks so far and it's been perfect and hasn't been cleaned. Water flows just fine.

I bought two of these for two 40 gallon patio ponds. Yes, the product will keep the pond clean. But let me explain the problem with this product. The product design requires two filter sponges. One small donut sized one, which is on the side with the impeller, and one long tubular filter sponge which is over the UV housing. If you read the other reviews you will find that the small filter becomes clogged VERY quickly. I assume since its location is near the impeller, while the long tubular filter sponge is not particularly dirty when you need to clean the small one. So it requires very frequent cleanings of the small filter, and I mean often. I'm glad I have these filters in a small patio ponds, because if I had it in a larger deeper pond I would probably toss the units and buy something else. To make matters worse, the second filter arrived without the small filter. So while I'm waiting for CLL Pet Supplies to get me the missing part, I took a small piece of course filter material and cut it to fit the small housing as best as I could. So I am cleaning that small filter almost daily! So yes it does its job, but I would buy a different product next time around.
