I used this router bit to trim the edges of laminate as I recovered my laminate countertops. It worked really well for the job. I had to stop occasionally and clean it off (it gathered some paint from the old countertop and glue from the new one), but it made clean cuts and cut right along the edges. This was my first routing experience, and it did leave a little scratch along the sides of the countertop as I trimmed the top. ( Very possibly user error.) I waxed over the scratch and it disappeared. Then I waxed the rest of the sides before routing the top, and it worked perfectly.

I have used this bit now to do a large island countertop. I glued the laminate on with 1/2" overlap on all sides and then ran this bit over it done an excellent job of flush trimming the edge. I then hit the edge lightly with a pad sander and I was ready to apply the beveled edging that I purchased to match. The edges were almost flawless just needed some light sanding to remove the knife edge of the finishing edging that I applied. A real time saver!Steve
