I have T-Mobile, and while I was eventually able to get this to work on their network, it required I get a special mobile data sim card. A regular voice simcard does not work for this product. Unfortunately this means that I have to pay for a new line instead of using an existing line. :-(Beyond that, it does seem like a really nifty item. It seems to have two methods of being turned on: The first is a power switch inside the device that you need to open the case to get to. The second is when the magnetic power cable is disconnected the device automatically turns on. It also seems to have an idle mode where if its sitting still for a while it automatically goes into powersave, then when it moves it turns on. So pretty neat--you don't have to open it to turn it on every time, just connect/disconnect the power cable.There's a series of SMS codes that it seems you can send to it if you were able to use a normal simcard, but unfortunately on a mobile data sim, that's not an option. Overall I was hoping it'd be a fun little project piece for me to write my own software for, but T-Mobile doesn't seem to want me to do that.

Got this to keep track of my dog in case he escapes from our fenced in backyard or gets away from us on one of our rv trips.I have an Apple IPhone 14 Pro which doesn’t use/can’t take a SIM card. In the directions it says you need to place the SIM card in your phone before placing it in the tracker ( to show that it will work on your network). This way you also have the ability to call the tracker and give your dog voice commands directly from the tracker (I wasn’t going to use it for that so I didn’t think I really needed that). I can’t do that so I have no way of knowing if this tracker will actually work. As it won’t work without the SIM card in it. Another possible issue is my phone provider recently switched to a 5g network so this tracker is already out of date. To say I’m disappointed is a large understatement. The directions are also a bit difficult to follow and it took a few reads for me to understand them.The tracker is bright orange and they provide a collar for your dog that you place the tracker on. I wish they provided a SIM card as well.If you have a cellular phone that has a removable SIM card slot and still has the ability to run on a 4g network then this is a viable option.I’m giving this 2 out of 5 stars as the app seemed to track my phone but kept telling me the tracker was off line (no SIM card). I don’t purchase things just so I can purchase other things to get the original thing to work!

But it’s definitely spotty in areas that aren’t clear. Haven’t tested it every where around the house yet.
