Playing around with this paper, I am quite pleased with it! A watercolor artist by training, trade and passion, I’ve been looking for a translucent type of paper that would accept watercolor paint without having to be treated with clear gesso or watercolor ground first and I think I’ve finally found it. The paper has a smooth side as well as a more textured one. The textured side allowed me to get quite a bit of detail once the bigger, looser background washes were dry.It cuts cleanly and easily, but it puts up a fight when I try to tear it with my hands.I also love the colorful, beautiful tube the paper came in. It will keep the paper safe and clean when not in use while being stylish in the studio (as well as easily recognized!). The quality is excellent and the quantity makes you want to explore and experiment rather than treating this like it’s a rare commodity that must be cherished. Highly recommended!

I love this paper roll. I would give 4.5 stars if I could, only because the price is a little steep for the amount of paper you are getting. However, it is super nice, and I really like the container that holds the paper. It is durable and helps protect the tea bag paper. I am still pleased with this purchase, and I am glad I ordered it.

I’m really pleased with the quality of this paper. It’s quite smooth, consistent thickness, and packaged nicely so I don’t have to worry about where I store it. I plan on using this for handmade sketchbooks as well as some printmaking, so I’m very excited about my future projects using this.5 stars!!

I reviewed products for the Amazon vine program and I received this product to review.I work with both watercolor paints and acrylic paints. This product is wonderful to work with either. It is waterproof, but allows you to bring a layer of transparency to either watercolor or acrylic paintings. I'm also just beginning to work with collages and I believe this is where I will use this product the most. It can add layers, transparency, and texture to any piece of artwork.The paper itself is quite thin and transparent, but at the same time it is very strong. It is easy to cut scissors or a straight blade. It is packaged nicely and will store easily with all my artistic supplies taking up very little space.I'm very excited to have found this product and I'm giving it five stars!

This paper is such great quality. I’m a collage artist and I use this for all my print needs - printer, gelli plate, and block printing. I also use it for texture. It’s not thick but it’s strong and it goes transparent when wet. I highly recommend it.

I am a mixed media artist and either paint or dye papers to use in either a full collage or accents in an acrylic painting. This paper is amazing because of several important properties. First, it absorbs watery paint beautifully and second, it is pretty strong paper. I generally use paper like this on my gelli plate and put the paper’s smooth side down because it will pick up more of the paint on the gelli plate than if you put the rough side down. Once I have completed whatever pattern I want on this rice paper I let it dry. Once it dries, I turn over the paper and paint it with very diluted paint. The paper absorbs this color and does not disturb any areas that have have been painted on the other side but it fills in the paper so that if you tear the rice paper into pieces, the edges are the color you painted on the back! This is great for collages! When you get this paper it is a good idea to experiment different techniques on it and I am sure you will find many other cool ways of using it. The roll of paper is plentiful and since it is 14” wide and many feet long, it provides more opportunities to make larger works than I have been able to in the past. The price seems high but I think it is not outrageous for what you are getting. (As of April 2025 the pice was )
