I owned a previous battery-only operated version of this card shuffler. When it died, I was happy to see one that I could also run via usb connection, to save on batteries. I chose this one, because it noted that it also takes AA batteries, not C batteries, and I have A LOT of AA batteries. When I received this, I saw that this shuffler takes C batteries, not the AA batteries, as advertised. Bummer.Also, they must have increased the card well slightly, because cards tend to flip on their sides when shuffling, causing the other cards to back up and jam the shuffling process. This happens more often than not.Very disappointed with this version of card shuffler.Update 8/13/24. I changed my number of stars to 4, because of the response to my review from the company. I appreciate a company that actually cares about customer satisfaction. They clarified my battery issue, pointing out that the 4-deck shuffler takes C batteries, while the 2-deck model takes AA batteries. They also revised the wording on the product description to make that clearer. They also offered to make sure I was satisfied by offering to replace with the 2-deck model. When a company takes time to follow up and make sure a customer is satisfied, that rates higher in my opinion!

I play a lot of cards with my aging mom and I love that they are re-chargeable, the other ones I purchased used a ton of batteries.
