After installing the latch, my car kept warning me that the trunk was open even when closed. This issue persisted even after disconnecting and reconnecting the car battery. Bad product

This part went on a 2008 ES350. The part comes with a short cable replacement, for the emergency handle, which I did not use as the original cable was fine. Installation was quick once you route the cable ends into the latch.
