This handy adapter enables you to fit SCT threaded accessories, adapters and focusers to a Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with a 45.4mm rear thread.
Adapter ring to convert the thread on the rear cell of many Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes to an SCT (Schmidt-Cassegrain) thread. Allows you to use SCT threaded diagonals, visual backs, focal reducers and other accessories on your Mak-Cass telescope. Has female Maksutov-Cassegrain threads on the inside all the way through and male SCT threads on the outside at one end. Precision machined from aluminum and black anodized.

I had previously ordered a focal reducing lens along with the adapter for my Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope but the adapter that arrived had the wrong thread pitch diameter. I then ordered this adapter and it is exactly the right one for my Celestron Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope. It has a 44.5mm female thread for the telescope and a 48.5mm thread for the focal reducing lens that is designed for an SCT (Schmidt-Cassegrain) telescope. Works great.
