Be carful they are strong i ended up taking one spring off and drilling a hole in the middle for one spring to release some of the tension but if need for bigger fish I can always put 2 back on

Must have if you’re going to have multiple lines in the water. Just make sure you have it locked into place before letting go. If it’s not locked down, then be ready for it snap back against your hand/fingers. I found it’s easier to put the rod in first then push it down into the lock position. Also, I also put these in the ground at an angle, leaning back, just so the rod is up in the air some and not almost touching the ground when it’s in the locked position.

Work decent. Worth the money especially if you have tendency to easily get distracted. Be careful can only imagine how much it's gonna sting if in the way when it goes off.

this was a great get for my husband. he loves fishing but cant have more then one pole out at a time cause usually he goes by himself. with this he can post it in to the shore and walk a bit away and fish a different area. he was happy with this. i didnt know these were a thing i only knew of the ice fishing ones.
