Two fat quarters per mat. I stitched 1.5mm beyond the traced line but think 1.0 would be better. A little bit of a learning curve. The next set will be better. Enjoyable project completed in a couple of hours.

These mats are easy to use, easy to fuse, but very thin and tend to buckle. I made several placemats with them and they look great, but I wonder if they should include instructions to fuse batting to them first to make them more substantial. They end up looking like fancy plastic placemats because of their thinness.

These fusible placemats are going to make my crafting life so much easier. I have recently started machine embroidering, and decided to make a set of placemats. I was up for the several steps involved in cutting the batting and the fabric, etc, but then I discovered these! How simple everything became. I embroidered the upper fabric before fusing the mat together, then just bound the edges. Presto-chango! A placemat! Thank you, Bosal, for all of your wonderful products.
