  • 【Premium Brake Tool Kit】This professional-grade brake caliper compression tool is forged from heat-treated carbon steel, ensuring maximum strength & anti-deformation. The ergonomic handle features non-slip rubber padding for fatigue-free operation, protecting hands during prolonged brake pad spreader adjustments.
  • 【360° Dual-Action Ratchet System】Patented brake caliper press tool design enables full 360° positioning with a single-handed swing. Easily switch between spreading/retracting modes via the flip lever – perfect for dual piston brake caliper compressor jobs without piston misalignment risks.
  • 【Universal Disc Brake Compatibility】Includes 2 magnetic disc brake caliper tool set plates (1.57"-2.75") to fit single/twin/quad piston calipers. Works on cars, trucks, SUVs – NOT for drum brakes. The brake compressor tool’s parallel thrust mechanism evenly distributes force, preventing rotor damage.
  • 【Quick Installation & Safety】The included 2 brake pad tool hangers can be attached to hold the caliper in place during service. It can be removed by reversing the direction of the ratchet of the car's brake caliper compression tool immediately after the piston is compressed.
  • 【Complete Professional Solution】From garage repairs to track emergencies, your brake tool kit is conveniently portable. Replace your F-150 brake pads with a pad spreader plate, secure your Jeep calipers with a caliper compression tool hook, or protect your hands during a Civic two-piston job. I am an automotive hobbyist and professional aviation mechanic. I am very familiar with high quality and low quality tools. With that said, I feel like this tool is probably not something you would want to use as a seasoned professional auto mechanic. If you’re just starting, it would be just fine to get you started. As a hobbyist, or a guy (or girl) who does their own basic auto maintenance, this thing is perfect. Not to say it isn’t made well, just that I don’t think the design will hold up over time in a professional shop with multiple uses daily.I estimate I do at least one set of brakes on at least one of my vehicles every year. Every brake job I’ve done for the last 3 decades was done with a large C-clamp. Every brake job done with a C-clamp inevitably led me to say “I need to get a piston compressor one day”. I saw this one and liked how it worked but was unsure if it would be any good. It’s good! It is easy to use and works as it should. On my older cars with single piston calipers it is perfect. I used it on one with dual piston calipers and it worked fine. However, I am positive it will not perform well on calipers with more than 2 pistons. The surface area is not big enough to push more than 2 pistons down evenly unless you modify the tool. (Approximate measurements provided in photo)Lastly, it comes with 2 large S hooks. The directions do not say what they’re for but I’m almost positive their intended use is for hanging the calipers so they don’t put strain on your brake lines. I found these to be a lot easier and less cumbersome than using wire to string up my calipers/

A very nifty tool to have on the shelf. I am a "hobby mechanic," meaning I have mechanical experience and knowledge, but do not work in a shop full time. With that being said, I think this tool is great for me, but may not be great for someone doing multiple brake jobs a day, every day. In the past I have used C-clamps to expand brake calipers, which work most of the time. But this tool should work on almost every brake caliper. It performs like a typical ratchet, however it does not have "fine" teeth and seems just a little clunky, hence my suspicions it might not hold up long term at a shop, but perfect for the occasional repair. The hooks to hand the caliper is also nice to have. Overall, I think its a great tool to have and an upgrade for those who may not be using the correct tools to begin with.

Overall, I liked this tool. I used it while replacing the brake pads on my 2013 Lexus RX 350, which has a mix of different calipers. The front calipers are dual-piston, and the tool was a great fit for those - it worked almost perfectly to compress both pistons at once. However, I did run into a few issues. When I fully extended the tool to compress the pistons all the way in, it came apart at the very end of its range. The two expanding arms detached because the tool had been unscrewed to its maximum limit. It would be nice if there were a built-in stop to prevent it from coming apart during use. That said, it was easy enough to reassemble afterward.Another issue I noticed was with the ratcheting mechanism. It didn’t always engage unless there was some initial pressure between the plates. Sometimes, I’d rotate the handle, and nothing would happen because the tool wasn’t gripping tightly enough to start expanding. Applying a slight compression manually helped re-engage the ratchet. The included hooks for hanging the calipers are a useful addition - many kits don’t include them, and having them bundled here is convenient. I wasn’t sure where to attach them on the front calipers, so you won’t see them in my front brake photo, but I used them on the rear calipers and appreciated their usefulness. Now, regarding the rear calipers on the RX 350 - they’re single-piston, and this tool’s minimum width was too wide to fit under the piston at first. I had to pre-compress the piston about a quarter inch using a clamp just to get the tool in. So, it’s not quite universal - if I didn’t have a clamp on hand, I wouldn’t have been able to use this tool on the rear brakes at all.In summary, this tool is helpful and works well for dual-piston calipers. It’s a solid addition to a DIYer’s toolbox, but it could be improved with a mechanical stop and better compatibility for tight single-piston calipers. Not perfect, but definitely a useful tool for brake pad replacements.

I just got this brake caliper compression tool and gave it a quick test on a single-piston caliper. The ratchet system turns easily, and the handle feels sturdy without being awkward. I really like that the plates are magnetic, so they stay in place as you work. The finish looks clean and professional, and the tool feels balanced in hand. For what I need it for—basic maintenance on my car—it does the job well.

Probably the easiest brake caliper I have used. The construction was decent. It also had some weight on it. The most striking feature is the integrated ratchet. It made using it way easier. Imagine using one hand holding the caliper in place and the other hand holding the lever. Definitely, easier to use compared to other tools of the same function. The 2 hooks were of great help to hang those calipers and avoid tugging on those brake lines.

Needed to replace the brake pads on a car and usually I use a large C clamp but seen this tool and decided to give it a try. It worked as well as a clamp does and it was easier to use. Did a good job. If you do your own brakes then this is worth getting and keeping in your tool box. Change your brakes yourself once and it pays for it self.

Used it on my pickup recently. The grip felt natural, and the tool didn’t twist or bite into the caliper unevenly. Switching from spread to retract was a breeze with the flip switch. The two included plates worked great on both front and rear brakes, and I didn’t need to adjust much. Also, being able to rotate the head meant I wasn’t constantly repositioning myself or the caliper. I could work right in front of the component instead of reaching over it. And it’s small enough to stash in a toolbox or behind a seat in case you’re out and need to fix something on the go.
