I got the Bruvoalon W429 Winter Gloves for my daily bike commute, and they’ve been a total lifesaver this spring. I ride to work most days, and my hands used to get so cold—especially on those early mornings when it’s still freezing but not quite winter anymore. These gloves are just the right amount of warmth—not too heavy, not too light. They’re perfect for temps that hover around chilly but not freezing, which makes them ideal for spring riding. What really surprised me is how soft they feel right out of the box. A lot of gloves either feel stiff or overly thick, but these are flexible and comfortable from the start. The material is stretchy and fits snugly without squeezing too tight, and the grip on the palms actually works—I haven’t had any issues with slipping handlebars, even when things get sweaty or damp.

I have a love/hate relationship with gloves. Cheaper gloves are not often well made and don't fit well. Good gloves can be ridiculously expensive. These would have been an exception, were it not for a couple of quality issues that may or may not be a problem for you.The gloves first arrived in a vacuum-packed plastic bag. Which seems kind of cool, but the gloves really don't puff up much after the bag is opened, so I'm not sure whatever space was saved was really worth it.What really "wowed" me at first was the fit. This may be the best-fitting pair of gloves I've ever worn. I have slightly short fingers for the size of my hands, and always before, no matter how well measured, something is too tight, or too loose, or the fingers are way too long. This pair fit almost as if made for me, with just the slightest bit of extra space at the ends of the fingers. For my hands, these feel like they're just this side of bespoke. And when worn, the lining of these gloves feels amazing. It doesn't feel like cashmere, but it doesn't feel like cheap fleece. It just feels nice. The outside of the gloves feel pretty good, too. Not overly grippy where grip hasn't been added, but good enough to drive with, and when testing with an air compressor it seems to do a pretty good job of blocking wind. The wrist expands well enough that it's easy to put on and take off, at least when your hands are dry, and holds to the wrist without being too tight. Like any other gloves, if your hands are a bit sweaty or wet, they can be a bit more of a pain, but not by much.My first quality problem when when I noticed something didn't feel quite right in one of the fingers. Carefully turning both gloves inside-out, I found that one glove had a seam that either wasn't finished, or had come apart. I didn't want to test these in cold or wet with a compromised lining, so requested a replacement pair. The second pair of gloves seemed great in every way I described before, but something else felt off inside. Turning them out again, this second pair had an opening in one of the seams, in a different location. So it seems like there may be some sort of consistent quality issue that needs to be addressed during production. Fortunately, the good gloves from both pairs were opposite hands, so I was able to piece a good pair together and return the two bad gloves. With a whole pair of gloves with intact linings, I had to figure out how to test for cold and waterproofing in the middle of a historically warm April. To do that, I wore the gloves for about 30 minutes and stuck a Bluetooth thermometer inside with one of my fingers. In open room-temperature air, my hand reached about 92F. Then I stuck one of my hands in a large plastic bag full of ice right out of the freezer. My thermometer is only accurate down to 14F, so measuring inside the bag before putting my hand in, it just read as "too cold to measure". But I'm pretty sure it couldn't have been much more than 1F inside the bag.Putting the thermometer back inside the glove with my hand, I kept it in the ice for another 30 minutes. By that time the thermometer was reading 58F, down about 34F from before. My hand and fingers felt a whole lot colder than I thought they would, in part I think because some of the ice had melted and the gloves felt more or less soaked, at least in the fingers. But despite being colder and wetter than expected, my hand and fingers were still mobile and certainly way better off than they would have been without the glove.Based on that, I'd have to say that these gloves really don't seem to be waterproof as claimed. Based on the quality issues I had with the seams in the lining, I'd have to guess that the seams in all layers of the glove may not be as tight and/or sealed as they need to be to truly keep water out. That said, I suspect that in normal cold weather down to 10F or so, these gloves should be more than sufficient for up to a few hours, as long as they don't get actually soaked in melted snow or water. The final observation worth noting is that the touch-screen finger tips and grippy palm sections are not "built in" to the glove -- they are not sewn in as panels with seams, but instead are stitched onto the surface. It would take hours to days of wear testing doing physical work to know for sure if those exposed edges would be prone to wearing down enough that these would lift up and become a problem. But it feels like a missed opportunity to either build them completely into the gloves, or at least sew over the edges so there are no exposed flaps that look like they're just waiting to catch on something.Overall, I have to say that even at full price, if you're looking for a good-fitting pair of decent (but not exceptional) lightweight winter gloves, these seem like a pretty good value. I wouldn't recommend them for extreme weather, or as work or athletic gloves. But being less bulky than most, and fitting very well (at least for me), they will be an excellent pair to stuff in coat pockets or a backpack, and great for just getting around outside and keeping decently warm.

These are solid gloves, but they are also way thicker than I expected. I was expecting something thin and warm, these are on the heavier weight side, but they are by no means ski gloves. They are probably good for fall bike rides, I got them to use when ice skating, and they are bit too thick for that. They appear to be fairly wind resistant and they are quite warm. They run on the smaller side, so if you're in doubt, order up a size.Overall, good buy though.

The warmth is exceptional it does not get too hot. The design and style look good, and the fit is just right. The waterproof ability seems to work, I haven't noticed any leakage through the gloves. The fingerprint sensor works, I'm able to unlock my phone and answer a call with the gloves on, I am very satisfied with the quality of the gloves.

I got these gloves for my girlfriend, who’s a first responder and spends a lot of time outdoors no matter the weather. She absolutely loves them. The combination of 3M Thinsulate and windproof coating really keeps her hands warm during those early morning shifts and cold runs, without feeling bulky or stiff. She’s always on her phone or tablet for work and personal stuff, and the touchscreen compatibility actually works perfectly—no freezing fingers while checking messages or maps. Plus, the waterproof backhand and anti-slip grip mean she can handle gear, drive, and even shovel snow without losing control or getting wet hands. They fit snug and comfy, and she says they feel almost like a second skin—lightweight but tough enough to handle everything her busy days throw at her. I couldn’t be happier with this gift; it’s practical, high-quality, and made her cold days way easier. If you have someone who’s out there working hard in the cold, these gloves are a solid pick.
