RL-12G Series Submersible Well Pumps
Residential Well Pumps for 4-Inch and Larger Wells
The RL-12G Series of 12 Gallons Per Minute Deep Well Submersible Pumps are ideal for the supply of fresh water to rural homes, farms and cabins and are the solution for wells with suction lifts greater than 90-feet. This pump is 3.9-inch in diameter and will fit in 4-inch or larger wells.
2-Wire or 3-Wire Options Available
The RL-12G Series are available in 2-WIRE and 3-WIRE options. The 3-Wire Option requires a control box (1 HP and under come with a control box). The advantage of a 3-Wire system is that if trouble-shooting is necessary, you can check the components of the control box first without pulling the pump from the well. The advantage of the 2-Wire option is that they are easier to install.

RL-12G Series Deep Well Submersible Pumps
Built for Clean Water
The Red Lion 12G Series deep well submersible pumps are built for CLEAN DRINKING WATER. All components of the pump that come in contact with your water are NSF/ANSI 372 certified verifying it is safe for potable water.
Many options available
The Red Lion Deep Well Submersible Pump has many models available including 115-Volt, 230-Volt, 2-Wire, 3-Wire, 12-gallon per minute and a 22 gallon per minute pump. Look at the chart below to determine which model is best for your application.
Not included in the table is the 22-gallon per minute. If you are interested in that model look for the RL22G10-3W2V, 14942409). The 22-gallon per minute model is available in 1-HP, 3-Wire, 230 Volt only. Note: ensure your well can handle 22-gallons per minute or it could run your well dry.
Do you need a control box?
The easiest way to determine this is to look at your existing system. If your current system comes with a control box look for the model numbers that end with -3W2V. 3/4 HP and 1 HP models come with a control box. The 1.5 HP model does not come with a control box but it is needed. The RLCB15-230 control box is the perfect fit for the RL12G15-3W2V.
But what if this is a new installation - should I get a 2-Wire or 3-Wire model? A 2-Wire's control system is located inside the pump. A 3-Wire's control system is located outside of the well in a control box.
A 2-Wire model is easier to install but if something goes wrong, you will have to remove the pump from the well to replace it. If something goes wrong with a 3-Wire model, you can troubleshoot the control box first, which is located outside of the well near your fuse box. You may not have to replace the pump at all which would save you the effort of removing the pump from the well.
