This is the kind of stand you get for heavy lights. I have the telescoping light stands but even the heaviest of them does not compare to the C stand. I know that I can, with a sand bag, mount a GODOX light with a 2x3 foot softbox and not worry about it falling over. The boom holds the light in place and lets me get under the light. The bag, I don't really like. It holds the stand but the legs and the clamps will slide to one end or the other and makes carrying it cumbersome. If this is the only stand you get, then it works well. Should you decide to use a 2 or 3 light setup, you are going to want a bigger bag. The bag comes included, but you are buying the stand which is outstanding. It is about twice the weight of a standard light stand and is twice as strong and durable.

Handles all my work like a pro, super solid. Best C stand for the money. But clamps are absolutely terrible.

If you're looking for a high quality C Stand, this is the one to get. Comes in a nice carrying case and it's built like a tank. Very high quality and THICK steel and super long extension if you're going to use studio lights on it for a high key light. I am super impressed and I can be very picky about stuff. Definitely recommend this !

We ordered two of these stands from Matladin, and are very impressed with the build quality and sturdiness. One of the star ratings above asks about being lightweight, and I didn't give five stars, because I don't think these stands are intended to be lightweight. The Matladin stand is as heavy, durable and comfortable as other brands, and that's why we bought them.Excellent Product - Excellent Service

I am a professional photographer and a friend turned me on to this and I had my doubts prior to purchase. This C-Stand is built like a tank. It`s heavy duty and functions very well. It was until I unpacked and used this that I was amazed at the quality of this C-Stand. I have paid more for a boom arm in the past than I paid for all that you get with this stand. Don`t hesitate to buy and use this stand because you will not be disappointed.

This was my first C stand purchase after having used regular stands for many years. I needed to position my octa directly over the subject’s head and this stand provided just the right ability to do that. I might recommend a few good sand bags as well as a counterweight for the Boom arm to assure maximum stability. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase and give it a solid recommendation for anyone looking for a very good and inexpensive C stand.
