The boot is fine and fit well. This is the first problem with any Caltric part I have ever bough so far and I've bought plenty.The clamp for the big end was total garbage out of the box ,all bent up and soft metal, it didn't stay clamped for one test ride around the house. It was too bent out of shape out of the box to install but I tried to make it work anyway. I didn't have time to wait for a replacement.I've been wrenching for over 40 years. I've used this type of clamp and always install them with the proper tools with no issues before installing this one.I used a leftover stainless header wrap tie to fix it until I have time to put a better clamp on it.FYI, the inner has the clip on a 99' Yamaha Big Bear 350.I guess I just got another bad clamp/part missed by QC.
