The silicone tank base ring fits my Coleman dual-fuel lantern. It should prevent dings and scratches while improving stability.I also tested it on the fount of the Coleman dual-fuel single-burner stove, and it fit well.

No sliding on wet picanic tables with this on the bottom. It slips on pretty easy and is very stretchable.

Nice material but it's too loose on my 200A. It doesn't stretch fit at all. The lantern slips in and rests inside with a small amount of grip to the tank but it comes off really easily. Like hanging your lantern and tapping the ring downward lightly with your finger knocks it off. Bumping it while taking your lantern out of a storage box, sitting it on a hot metal camp table or on something that might have a little stickiness to it will likely lift your lantern right out of it.The other issue with a loose fit is that the bottom edge of the lantern rests in a cupped channel (see photo). With the loose fit there is a gap around the tank (see photo) which is likely to allow water to enter and collect in that cupped channel. Prolonged exposure may lead to rusting of the tank edge.I have the larger ring by the same company for my double mantel lantern and that one fits perfectly! Nice snug stretch fit and the quality of the rings themselves are excellent. This particular size though just doesn't fit will enough to be useful.

I work / rebuild old coleman lanterns and stoves, saw these and had to get them to put on the lanterns to save the paint on the bottom and to give a better grip on the table when working on them.

Good quality and good fit. Worked perfectly on my Coleman 533 stove. Helps to protect the bottom of the stove. Super easy to

This a great solution for a problem that has existed since the advent of the gas powered lantern. They fit easily on the fount (tank) of the lantern and protect that bottom edge of the fount from chipping paint and posible dings. There are other options out there but this is a good solution. There are various colors available but the red is not a perfect match but if that doesn’t bother you the benefits far outweigh what is pleasing to the eye. The cost seems a bit high, especially for a lantern collector. But if you have only one lantern, they are a great investment. For those that have more than one lantern they can be quickly switched. Be aware however they are available in two sizes based on which lantern you own.

Most of the Colemans that come to me come pretty beat up. As such they usually get a repaint. But it always bothers me that I'm putting wear (aka "rim rash") pretty much every time I set it down or especially when pumping the lantern up. Enter the silicone base gasket. The piece is advertised as being silicone rubber which I am 100 percent sure it is. Silicone is chemical resistant, very grippy and can handle 500 degrees F.I know I feel less cringe when using my old lanterns that have this gasket which is what they are made for. One piece of advice though: if your lantern does get caught in serious rain I would pull the base gasket off and dry off the lantern. Any moisture trapped in there will cause rust as it can't get out.Be aware that in addition to various colors there are 2 sizes: 200/242 (this one) and 220/228 so make sure you're ordering the right one.I'll be getting more.

Everyone who loves Coleman lanterns knows that the place they get messed up first is the bottom rim. I am an avid collector of lanterns, and I have plenty of nearly perfect condition lanterns, but almost all (unless they were never used) have scratches and chipped paint to some extent around the bottom of the rim. These silicon rubber base protectors are a fantastic way to preserve these old treasures from any further deterioration, in that regard at least. But I find they are also great for setting your lantern on slick surfaces. It protects the surface you are putting the lantern on from scratches, and the silicon will not slide. Setting your lantern on the hood of your truck, or on top of a Coleman stove or maybe a glass surface. These come in red, black and green. I have not ordered the black yet but find that the red and green do not match the lanterns colors very well, but that would be tough knowing that Coleman lantern colors varied in tint over the years, so it really does not bother me at all. Just something to be aware of when ordering.Easy to install, stays in place firmly, easy to remove and put on a different lantern of same size. Also keep in mind the different sizes for different models of lanterns when ordering. I'm ordering black ones for my nickel-plated lanterns!
