Solid mount. Compression-expander plug holds the mount securely in the back of the Defender bed.Unfortunately, the listing has a bit of misinformation. The 2nd bullet clearly states the kit includes a 5lb extinguisher. It does not. Using the Amazon AI for Q&A prior to purchase confirmed my interpretation of the listing does indeed include the extinguisher. It does not.ON top of that, none of my 3lb fire extinguishers fit in this mount. They are 10 1/4" in circumference. I found an old 2lb that is 9 1/8: that fits with the strap going in 2 notches, so it could probably accommodate slightly larger.
