This was recommended by our dog trainer, and it’s very effective. If used correctly, no harm is caused to the dog at all. Point it at the dog’s shoulder. The only gripe is that the containers don’t hold much air, but it won’t take long for your dog to be convinced. When my dog sees it come out, she stops barking immediately. But my dog is a sweetheart, small 11-lb Coton de Tulear. I mean, dogs bark. That’s what they do. You just have to give them a break sometimes.

Awesome training tool! Cuts through almost all dogs barking, squeaking, and nuisance behavior. Also great to carry on the trail with you to deter off-leash dogs charging you.There was a quality issue a few years ago but Canine Innovations has remedied it and their new product is even better! Highly recommend.

I bought this product because my dog won’t leave the cat alone, it works I sprayed this product at her, and she stopped. However, on using it a second time it just started to leak air through the nozzle, I tried to get a new one, but was sent to a trouble shoot page, and non of the trouble shooting was for this product. I clicked that it didn’t help and was sent to another page that said to trouble shoot yourself. I couldn’t return the product hence the lower rating. I did trouble shoot it myself by taking it apart (not an easy task but do able) the little green button on top gets stuck pressed in hence the air leaking. So I pulled it out filed the edge that is was rubbing against and haven’t had an issue since. For the price I wish it would work without me having to fix it. But just so you know you won’t be able to return it or have it replaced if it isn’t working.

This product is defective out of the box. The co2 cylinder does not seal properly so the gas leaks out without use. Also the noise level is not load enough to get my dogs attention and is not equal to of pet correctors that use aerosol cans. And to top it off I cannot even ship it back for a refund or get one that works. They say we cannot return it as it has compress gas cylinders well why were they able to ship it to me in the first place. They should ship me one out that works and have me trash the old one. What a concept!!!

We have been working with our 9 month old rescue on reactivity with dogs. This device has really helped when we are in an escalating situation. When I can’t seem to snap him out of it and he begins to really pull and lunge, this is a great tool to use to break the zone he is in and stop him from choking himself. It gets his attention and then I am able to redirect him. It is also helpful if other dogs approach who are off leash. The sound seems to deter them from coming too close. The cartridges go quickly but the product has worked so well that I don’t care. I am just relieved to have something to help us.I have also found this works well if we are in the car and he starts obsessively barking, I spray this (from front seat, I don’t even have to aim at his shoulder just the sound is enough) tell him to leave it and he does. I think it’s a great product to use in conjunction with training.

Should have followed my gut on this one. I thought I would save money by using this product than using canned options. Wrong! I have found after triggering the device it would blast once. Then later when attempted to use again it failed (out of compressed air). So I loaded a new cartridge, depressed trigger. It worked as stated, then raised to my ear and chould hear air slowly escaping. Pressed again hoping the trigger failed to reseat properly. No luck.Concept is good, but product is designed with cheap material. Waste of money, do yourself a favor and use a different product. For the money I spent chould have purchased a few canned producted from a pet store. This would have lasted 8 to 9 months in training purposes on multiple dogs.
