Would have been nice if I wouldn't have had to disassemble the table saw to install these, but that's life! They work well. Had a little wear in odor but after a day or so, no more odor. All works well!

Works good so far. We shall see how long they last in time but I won’t be using the saw a lot so I’m sure they will last me a long time! The original ones lasted about 3 years at my job before the saw failed and they just bought a new one… I took the old one to try and repair it and it was a simple brush replacement and the chop saw is working perfectly again! :) I got me a pretty nice double bevel chop saw for the price of some brushes and some time. lol this makes two saws I’ve got from my job that tosses the saws thinking they was straight broken… which technically they was and still are a bit. But that’s user error damages. Got me a nice chop saw and a decent job site table saw. The table saw was alot worse condition. Took a lot more effort but new bearings and new brushes and it’s cutting like it used to. Only downfall is the adjusting screw is so gunked up it doesn’t work very well. But still a 30$ repair for a fair working saw is a great deal lol don’t worry my job got its money worth outta these old tools! Price they pay for tools beat on so hard all the time.

These are completely different. The brush on the bottom in the pic is what come out of my DW708. The brush above it beside the bag is what you get….No where even close to each other.I just read a review saying someone tried returning these and Amazon wouldn’t let them, I hope that’s not true. I will be trying for a return soon, right now I need a working Miter Saw.

Changed them in 5 minutes. Had to spin the blade by hand to seat them then it worked like a charm. Worn brushes actually wear grooves in the armature. A proper motor repair means spinning the armature on a lathe and resurfacing the brush area. Of course, most Dit Yourselfers skip that and often get away with it. These brushes do what they were made to do.

Wow, that couldn't possibly have been worse. Get some OEM ones at twice the price, it's far cheaper than the new saw I need after routine maintenance turned into a pyrotechnics display. And they're not as pictured...DW715, noticed the original brushes were getting old and short but hey, no problem I keep a set cause I'm smart like that. Popped the old ones out, buffed up the commutator and vacuumed and blew out the slots after rotating the motor by hand and setting the brushes. Plugged her back in and at the first touch of the switch she lit up like a Griswold family Christmas display. Didn't even get close to spinning up fully. The rest, we'll it speaks for itself. The old brushes are back in after a lot of time spent massaging the commutator back to true and cleaning the graphite that was left after the carbon reached the temperature of the sun. She's limping, not doing well and gonna need replacing asap. The armature isn't available anywhere and even new brushes are going to have a hard time seating well before the abused commutator and sparking destroy them.Another interesting not is that they are not as pictured. The OEM have the red braided covering on the wires, I actually ordered another set of these because despite the app saying I'd bought these before I didn't think it was the same ones but rather the ones before which had the red. These have black braided covering/insulation and are in fact the same ones that smoked my saw... Dewalt should pay these guys a commission for the new saws their crappy $10 brushes necessitate.

My SCMS was dead in the water, it wouldn't even turn on. The light worked, so I knew the saw had power, but the motor wouldn't even turn on. I was worried it may have been a bad switch, but I thought brushes would be the much faster and cheaper thing to fix. These brushes arrived in 1 day, and it took less than 5 minutes to replace the old brushes. They were an exact swap. No springs needed for the DWS780. Once these new brushes were in place, the saw worked perfectly once again. I'm happy for a very cheap and very quick fix to an expensive tool.

This is a pack of brushes - but not what's described. I have a DW machine on this list but it does not fit, the block is about 1/2 the size it needs to be, has a non insulated cable and a different terminal. What I got looks quite different to the picture of the item, see my photo. Maybe they picked the wrong item? But Amazon does not allow me to return it even within the return window - a write-off now
