These are great. I bought them because the wife and u were going on a trip. She wanted to be able to talk to me. I was apprehensive about them because I ride a harley with loud exhaust. They work great up to about 65 mph after that you can still communicate fairly well but the wind noise is more the issue at high speed not the exhaust noise. The phone sync is easy and sound quality is good at lower speed at high speed is gets a little less of an enjoyable sound quality. I have had very good phone conversations with it up to 65 mph but wouldn't try at higher speeds. Battery life is way better than the product specs. I rode 7hrs listening to music the whole time and the next day the battery was still at 80%. The size of the device is small and the hand controls are easy to use once you learn them. Installation is kinda tricky but with a little patience it goes in just fine. I was concerned that the speakers would come loose when putting on and taking off the helmet but so far hasn't been a problem. When using the voice recognition I found that saying "hey cardo" then wait a half second before the command works best. At higher speeds its less likely to work though. All in all I would recommend this product..

I did a lot of research before I purchased and so glad I bought this system. My riding buddy wanted nothing to do with it but I wanted it so I bought for myself. He ended up trying a headset and now uses it more than I do. Great connection between riders. Great sound. Took a phone call while riding wearing full face helmet and the person on the other end had no clue I was on my bike going down the road. Highly recommend. Easy to use. Easy to keep up to date with easy website navigation.

I like it. I used to have an older com system but once I stopped riding with others it seemed not worth the time to use. This new unit has bluetooth and works great with my iphone. Sound quality is really impressive. It may not be as loud as having earbuds in, and depending on your bike and speed, you may not hear the full range on more delicate songs, but otherwise really crisp and good amount of "oomph".Battery life so far has been great. Took two rides through the Lake George area that came to almost 14 hours of riding with no stops and still had juice. Not so my phone...portable battery packs are a great thing, no? I also like that you can have multiple things working at onces, so using a map program does not stop your music.Installation was easy (take your time, do it right). And the unit itself have a range of dials and buttons that you can press on the go. Very responsive. End of the day, it does everything I need it to do.There are a few minor things that annoy me. For one, I understand this is a device that is shipped to a lot of countries. I don't have an issue with manuals that have six+ languages in them. I do hate though when you get pictograms of how to do certain things. What does this mean? I'd rather they printed another 6" of manual and actually labelled commands in every language on the diagram. The other thing that really annoys me is there isn't a cheat card. I would really like if there was say, a laminated card with all the commands you can perform by turning this dial that way, pressing it it, etc. Also, I may be the most memory challenged person in the world, but when you want to use a particular voice command and you can't remember the exact way your have to phrase it, ugh. Give me a sheet with everything spelled out without hunting. Also annoying is that your iphone music player works fine with the device and can be stopped/started with voice commands. Using the Amazon music service I could stop playing music, but it would not start again using voice commands. These are minor, quality of life issues. I am satisfied with it in nearly other way, and do recommend this device.Funny ancedote time: I was taking a morning ride to get donuts for the wife, so took a leisurely three hour ride on back roads in wonderful VT with just my music and the sky to keep me company. Suddenly I my music turned off and I tried to answer the phone, but it wouldn't let me. I was in the groove and didn't want to stop to find who called so I kept riding. Five minutes later, my music stopped again and I was waiting for the phone to connect, but it wouldn't. Started the music up again. Five minutes later, again with the music stopping and dead silence. I was starting to think of how I would communicate to the wife that when I'm on one of these meditative rides, I don't like being interrupted by calls unless it was important. At this point I told the Cardo unit to just resume playing every time it stopped to let me know the phone needed something. When I got to my destination, I scrolled through my phone to see who was being so bloody annoying...but oddly, no calls at all. Flicking through the phone trying to find a text or whatever it was that kept kicking me out of the music, I realized what the issue was...I had woken up and got on the road before my alarm clock went off. Every time I ignored it, the phone treated it as a snooze button and would turn off my music five minutes later. Just keep this in mind if it happens to you...and make sure you do some research before making any angry calls. ;)

Over the years I have purchased and used a large variety of helmet communication solutions from many brands. These are my favorite so far. The JBL speakers sound very good and definitely worth the extra. The units are low profile, easy to install and full of features. I will not bore you with all the details, you can read the specs from the manufacturer. I have used them on a variety of different rides from solo to groups, in the city to out in the mountains. These are my favorite communicators now.Pros:- Low profile- Excellent audio quality- Clear communication with very good noice cancelling- Complete features set to cover every need- Voice commands that make it easy to do most tasks without using your hands- integration with Siri and Google assistant- FM radio- Wheel button controlCons:- App slow to load- Voice commands are not very intuitive. This is not natural language, you have to speak the available commands exactly right or it will not work. Sometimes voice doesn't work and I have to connect the app before they kick in- The wheel button is great, but be careful where you place it on the helmet. If it is right above your shoulder, you can accidentally click it when you turn your head to one side or shrug. Which basically pauses whatever you are doing. Not the end of the world, but can be annoying. Put a little further back on your helmet and it will be good- Range is good, not great. But reconnecting is easy.
