I hate to give something so lovely such a low score but I am afraid I have to. I ordered this to try to get my grossly obese Mainecoon to walk and get some exercise. The material is heavy duty and since we live in FL and as previously mentioned this kitty is a Fatty McFatty, its just to much extra heat for her Royal Fluffiness. My biggest complaint is that closer is made of Velcro. Not a great idea on a long haired cat. When you pull apart that much Velcro it makes a VERY loud scary sound. Getting a cat into a harness is a chore enough without adding any extra elements of weirdness to the situation.Since my issues are subjective to my cat, I am giving this a middle of the road rating. It is very well manufactured. The seams are sown well and the quality leaves no complainants and the pattern is just adorable!

Maybe because she's overweight by a pound (the reason I wanted to start taking her out) the neck loop, when fastened, acts like such a large brace that she can hardly move. Of course, she just laid down (and this was after many attempts). The sound of the velcro ripping open is unsetting for the cat. Once I purchased the more traditional style, noticed she moved much more freely. The quality is great, pricing is competitive here, and feel it's a good product. I'll keep and try again.

We just adopted a fat little girl from the SPCA to give our existing cat Bleu a friend. He's already accustomed to using his Kitty Holster cat harness, so when it came time for hers, I already knew what I was going to buy. I got the blue denim one for him about a year ago, and it still looks and works great. Well, maybe not looks, but that's only because his long fur leaves bits behind stuck on the large Velcro straps which give this harness its support. This pink polka-dot one is cute. I figured I'd get the fat ball something girlie, and this is what I picked. I do wish they had more varieties -- pink on a tortie isn't terribly flattering -- but when you're just a mess of hardwood colors, it gets hard to find something which looks good. Kitty Holster doesn't make any cream colored harnesses, unfortunately, and the selection isn't to my tastes, but that's OK. Zoe's getting used to her harness, no longer plopping on the floor and pretending she's lost the use of her legs. Bleu went through the same, taking about two weeks to adjust to moving about while suited up, and she seems to be on pace for the same.I should note that Bleu is 11 lbs. and the fat baby is 9 lbs., and both are wearing this "X-Small" harness with plenty of room to spare. The Velcro strips are huge, so my concern of having to replace these as my cat grew never happened. When I first got it in, I was a bit apprehensive about trusting my cat's safety with Velcro, but these suckers are strong. I immediately tested it by lifting him up with by the harness, and everything stayed tight as it should. A year later, it's still doing the same. This is a great harness.

The harness I bought for my cat was not working, as she was able to get out of it quite easily. She would back out of the harness now matter who tightly I buckled it and I worried about her safety when wearing it. When watching a YouTube video about how to walk your cat with a harness, I came across a comment from a cat owner who had the same problem with her kitty . She recommended the Kitty Holster. I love this product. My indoor kitty is now able to go out with me to our backyard garden in comfort and style. She has not even tried to get the Kitty Holster off, but I do not think she could get out of it if she tried. It only took her a couple of short wearings to get used to it, and now she actually seeks out the Kitty Holster and leash and brings it to me so she can go out and play! I love that it is washable and of good quality. It is well sewn and the velcro is very strong. I am sure it will last a long time but I will not hesitate to order another if need be. This one fits well for my 13.5 pound cat. It also came with a booklet about how to walk your cat that was very helpful. Buy this product-you will not be sorry!

My cats got out of this "unescapable" harness within 3 seconds. It is bulky and my one cat can't even move in it. Forget it.

This harness works great on my cat who is about 10 lbs. It could also accommodate a much larger cat as well. My kitty loves to go out doors but she is declawed and must be supervised. This harness is the perfect solution and so far it has worked quite well. You can easily put it on and take it off with no stress to the cat. The other style harnesses with the straps were always so stressful and she always put up a struggle getting it on and off. This one is stress free and secure. Do not hesitate to purchase this product. You and your cat will be happy you did!

It was easy to put on her the first time, but now that she knows what it is, I have to sneak it on. It's a lot easier to sneak on that one of those ropey harness thingies!I've done everything right, but the cat just HATES it. She isn't walking around looking confident and happy like cats do in pictures of leashes. She lies on the floor or walks along the side of the wall/house for a couple steps and then stops and looks around, all pathetic and paranoid. She is miserable in it and I won't be able to use it for a long-distance drive we have to take together. It's more than big enough around, but I don't think she has full range of motion of her front legs. The people selling harnesses and leashes say that cats get used to them and they work well...and maybe sometimes that is the case. Not this cat, though. I might as well have put a straightjacket on her.
